Exploring Blockchain Projects in Food Supply Chain Management: Capabilities and Limitations in Complex Systems

Hello Cardano Community , My name is Cristian Rojas, I´m Industrial Engineer, Latam Cardano Community and Intersect MBO Member , Project Catalyst Proposer.

This time, I want to share with you a research related to blockchain projects in food supplu chain managemente as part of my proposal funded in Fund 11 “Food Traceability by Cardano”

All feedback is welcome, I will share you the abstract and llink to google drive, thank you very much!

Abstract:Supply chains have transformed into dynamic, interconnected networks, making it more challenging to achieve comprehensive traceability of products and their associated events. Blockchain technology, with its ability to provide a secure, transparent, and immutable system without needing a trusted intermediary, shows significant promise for enabling end-to-end traceability in these complex, multi-tiered supply networks. This research article reviews and analyzes blockchain projects in food supply chain management. It examines the ability of these projects to map highly complex supply chains with objects undergoing compositional changes. Additionally, the article identifies the limitations of these solutions when applied to dynamic, interconnected supply chains involving complex objects.

I would like to congratulate you on your work, which makes an original contribution to the academic literature in a field that has not been extensively studied. I believe that peer-reviewed publications exploring the possibilities and vision of the Cardano blockchain play an important role in the long-term adoption of the Cardano ecosystem. Many other blockchains have overlooked the prestige that academic research in this area brings to their ecosystems.

For example, the voting and ratification process of the Cardano Constitution has generated extensive material and concepts that will open up space for discussions on the “comparative method” across various fields of the social sciences. The text of the Cardano Constitution will undoubtedly become one of the main references in blockchain and law-oriented discussions.

Furthermore, studies focusing on the use of blockchain technology in alternative areas, such as those covered in this study, will play a major role in analyzing the tension between the bureaucratic inefficiencies of modern states and the rapid pace of the digital revolution.
