I enabled a password for my wallet before sending out a transaction but forgot the password. I do have my seed though. If I restore the wallet from the seed, would the password still be there?
Woo. I remembered. But nonetheless, if I happen to forget my password but still have my seed I should be able to restore the wallet and send out ada without the password?
Hi,
The password you set is used to locally encrypt your private key.
Your seed phrase is basically your unencrypted key. When you restore your wallet with that seed, Daedalus wlll ask you to set a new password.
Here’s an article about that https://iohk.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011102114-Reset-wallet-spending-password
I would recommend to check phrase first also https://iohk.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010645354-How-to-check-your-12-word-Daedalus-wallet-recovery-phrase
