The Frankenwallet is a DIY manual — approaching 40 pages, including installation methods and rationale for design choices over security, privacy, and operational issues — giving SPOs an alternative method to build & maintain an “air gap” environment without requiring separate hardware or confining their operational tasks to hardware wallet toolsets:

… and now we have entered a period when general feedback from SPOs will be welcome about how this environment, and the web site documenting its construction and usage, would suit operators: of stake pools as well as other software configurations requiring privacy and security of cryptocurrency resources.
These methods have been published in the Cardano community for nearly 4 years now, including documentation on the Cardano Developer Portal as a specialised means of constructing the obligatory “air gap” environment:
SPO feedback about the documentation and its security standards would be most welcome at this point, because the next stage of project advancement will be to incorporate, validate and document the popular Stake Pool Operator Scripts in the Frankenwallet: Frankenwallet > Cardano secure workflow
For now, the above “secure workflow” recommendations are complete enough for SPOs to offer general feedback on any potential improvements. The project would also greatly benefit from a community view of the documentation as a whole, as well as its integration with this repository that builds it into the public web site:
The most important feedback will come from seasoned Linux operators with an interest in workflow security, likely a topic of common interest to Cardano SPOs… although the material does assume (and require, in the front page prerequisites) an extensive familiarity with Linux installation, the command line, and basic system administration tasks: so these are naturally not covered in the Frankenwallet material itself.
