Hello there, beautiful soul!
This is it, seize the moment.
You’ve all worked incredibly hard to fine-tune all ideas into actionable proposals. Now, Catalyst has transitioned into a celebration of all of that innovation spirit with the kickoff of voting. Participating and sharing the word about the ongoing vote is a critical part of the community-led decision-making process that helps prioritize projects every funding round. Fund11 is no different.
Remember - you have two weeks to cast your votes - but no later than February 8, 11 a.m. UTC.
In other news, the community also held its third Town Hall of the year. We saw a fantastic presentation from Henrik and the team behind the Employment Credentials project, a great educational initiative teaching basics about Cardano from Brazil, and a highlight from the Catalyst Africa Town Hall team celebrating their milestones and Fund11 IdeaFest. But that’s not all.
Let’s dive further in.

First 24 hours
Well done, Cardano community. Fund11 is off to a great start. The first ~24 hours accounted for 36,795 total votes cast. Note: A wallet can cast more than one vote but for different proposals. You can retweet this graphic here as well.
Deadline to apply for Catalyst Working Groups - Feb 4
Catalyst Working Groups are the Catalyst Team’s proposal to the Cardano community in collaboration with community partners to create the first iteration of community-led, data-driven analysis that informs of potentially important changes to the scope of future Catalyst funding rounds. To bring this together, it’s equally important that the Catalyst Team collaborates with the worldwide community, which should host their discussions and events.
The deadline to apply to host a Catalyst Working Group is February 4th. You can do so by filling in this form here.
If you are interested in hosting a Catalyst Working Group, continue reading the full blog post here for info on how to apply.
If you’d like to learn more about the concept - please review this after Town Hall recording. The Catalyst team will also host a special AMA Twitter (X) space this Friday on January 26 at 4:30 PM UTC that you are warmly invited to. You can register for this event here. The topic will be centered around the Fund11 vote launch and more specifically also talking about the concept of Catalyst working groups introduced in this blog post.
Catalyst Network
What is the Catalyst Network (CN)?
CN, formerly known as Coordinator Meeting, is the central meeting point for all funded projects building in Catalyst, and with a new monthly structure, it is geared towards providing impact and value for projects with regular guest appearances by industry experts.
This month’s edition of the Catalyst Network features guest Speaker Anastasia Yermolova, head of Incubation, and Acceleration at Applicature. She will be presenting the topic, Fundraising in 2024.
This is a great avenue for projects building in Catalyst looking to raise additional funds externally to get insights from an industry expert to effectively carry out fundraising in the 2024 financial climate.
When is it? Tuesday 30th January 2024 @ 5 p.m. UTC
The link to join is in the Catalyst Network announcement channel.
Note: This is an open invitation to all Catalyst-funded projects
