I do not have enough $ADA in my payment.addr when I create my tx.raw and signed it. Hence, my pledge amount does not meet with the one I declared. What should I do?

Hi all, I need help here.

I do not have enough $ADA in my payment.addr when I create my tx.raw and signed it. Hence, my pledge amount does not meet with the one I declared. What should I do?.

Thank you

Just send some ada to your payment address.

Thank you Jeremyisme, I still have one question. After I transferred my $ADA to my payment.addr, says 50k, do I need to re-register my pool? Or is there any command I need to run to pledge the 50k $ADA into my pool? Thank you so much!

It depends on what your registered your pool with, i.e. which stake address you used. It isn’t necessarily the same as your payment address.

There are two reasons for the payment address, one, for fees for transactions to submit certs etc.
Second, which as noted above, depends on how you set it up, to meet your pledge.

So check your pool cert (you can use cexplorer etc.) and see what stake address you used and make sure you fund that address for your pledge.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks Jeremyisme.

Do you mean this Owner Address?

So I just have to send my $ADA to this address and it will automatically reflected in my Pledge amount?
Sorry for my stupid question and thank you so much for your patience.

Yes, the owner address is the one you need to have your pledge in, i.e. the 50k.

So look up the payment address and check if it is registered to that stake address just to be sure you’re funding the right address. You should be able to click on the stake address link there and navigate through to the address list.

Thank you so much for your help Jeremyisme, it is working right now.

Have a nice day!
