Is there a checklist to validate your stake pool after deployment?

…on second thought, I’m gonna do this over again from scratch. How do I pull back the ADA so I can secure it and blow these VMs away?

I haven’t deregistered a pool but Coincashew has documentation here:
https://www.coincashew.com/coins/overview-ada/guide-how-to-build-a-haskell-stakepool-node#19-retire-your-stake-pool

What made you decide on starting from scratch? You can remake the registration certificate and just not calculate in the pool deposit for your fees. To my understanding, a new certificate will override your current. If you were to de-reg and re-register a new, it is sort of the same effect if done so within the same epoch.

hi i am runing a new stakepool [adaxp] if i go to gLiveView.sh my blockproducers says relay mainnet. how do i change this? i am a bit scared, that my blockproducer is not working properly. pretty new to all this and running the cntools thx in advance

hello,

go to cd $CNODE_HOME/priv/pool

ls -l
copy the name of the wallet and then paste it to env file to the pool name

cd $CNODE_HOME/scripts

nano env
search for pool name, delete the # from the begining and add the pool folder name inside “”
save the file, restart the node and check again

sudo systemctl restart cnode

Cheers,

thx alot my pool name in env was ADA Experience Pool
but was saved under ls -i ADA_Experience_Pool
now it shows as core.
does this mean i messed up the epoch until now (missed blocks eventually) ? thx alot.

Could be, I don’t know… u can run cncli for 255 and 256 to see if u had, have or will have blocks assigned

sorry for wasting your time . i am pretty new to all this . this is a deep dive in to new waters. how do i check the cncli?

  1. Install CNCLI

cd "$HOME/tmp"
curl -sS -o prereqs.sh https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cardano-community/guild-operators/master/scripts/cnode-helper-scripts/prereqs.sh
chmod 755 prereqs.sh
./prereqs.sh -c
. "${HOME}/.bashrc"

  1. Run CNCLI
  • go to scripts folder
  • run ./cncli.sh sync (wait to see 2-3 lines with 100% sync)
  • stop ctrl+c and run ./cncli.sh leaderlog and wait few minutes till the calculation

Cheers,

Installing CNCLI
downloading CNCLI…
latest version: v1.5.0
installing RUST…
building CNCLI v1.5.0 …
client_loop: send disconnect: Broken pipe

does this mean my ssh connection broke but the server is still installing? should i just reconnect in 5 min. and resume with the . “${HOME}/.bashrc” command?

Hmm but I don’t know if the installation was completed… try to run the script if not… install again

~ CNCLI Leaderlog started ~
Node in sync, sleeping for 60s before running leaderlogs for current epoch
Leaderlogs already calculated for epoch 255, skipping!
Running leaderlogs for next epoch[256]

Leaderslots: 1 - Ideal slots for epoch based on active stake: 0.45 - Luck factor 222.22%

so does this mean my node will produce its first block on the 27th 10:53? this is so exciting

yes, till then try to check everything

and install chrony on all nodes

thx so much again

you are welcome, please delete the slot number assigned

feeling so noobish right now. why delete block assigned. is this a security issue?
further i set up chrony on my nodes and changed config.
when checking the status this is the output: chrony.service - chrony, an NTP client/server

any advice on this issue?

what issue, is there an issue?

not recommended to make it public

Hey @Alexd1985 / @Spork

Oy! Bleh. Ok, so I think I managed to work through my original issue, as well as the one’s below. Would you guys mind checking my work and let me know how things look?
TICKER: 9Line
Pool.vet: pool.vet - Cardano stake pool checker
AdaPools: [9Line] 9Line | Cardano Staking (adapools.org)

Just not showing up on Cardano PoolTool :frowning: No bueno there yet.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=–=-
Original: I wasn’t sure if I should have started a new thread, lol. Anyhow, I picked up at Step 12 to register the stake pool again. At this step:
cardano-cli transaction build-raw
{tx_in} \ --tx-out (cat payment.addr)+(( {total_balance} - {poolDeposit})) \ --invalid-hereafter (( ${currentSlot} + 10000))
–fee 0
–certificate-file pool.cert
–certificate-file deleg.cert
–mary-era
–out-file tx.tmp

The output I receive is:
-bash: 114317146 - : syntax error: operand expected (error token is "- ")

Any idea what I did wrong?

Edit: bounced the boxes, ran it again but this time:
Shelley command failed: transaction build-raw Error: Transaction validaton error: Negative quantity (-385682854) in transaction output: TxOut (AddressInEra (ShelleyAddressInEra ShelleyBasedEraMary) (ShelleyAddress Mainnet (KeyHashObj (KeyHash “90877331f467d21b609c88c3faede86b4facdf905a0292cb9fc3266d”)) (StakeRefBase (KeyHashObj (KeyHash “89119d200fc2d5f3b86c6136823cf5b337bed648adf03c59e7186336”))))) (TxOutValue MultiAssetInMaryEra (valueFromList [(AdaAssetId,-385682854)]))

Yeah looks fine to me. Pool.vet shows your relay etc. and no errors so you should be all set.

Congrats and enjoy running the pool!

Thanks! Really appreciate the assistance from yourself and @Alexd1985 !
