I absolutely love the little “timeline” widget that appears as you scroll through the posts here. But it does have some performance issues on my laptop/chrome: the date lags when I scroll instead of updating when I scroll through posts.
I’m curious about how it’s implemented, but also may want to see if I can improve it. Thanks!
Discourse is open source, yes. I will let @adatainment confirm, but my understanding is the changes will have to go at source to then be updated on client deployments (like forum)
I’m not sure if I can provide any additional information because @rdlrt answered already everything. If you want to look into it the repo is the right one, if you can improve it please either create an PR or open an issue. (I never noticed a lag)
