My ADA from my YOROI Wallet are gone

Yeah… Its very difficult…

Already Done it, 360 ADA are hopefully safe now

Sorry to read this. I just wanted to ask if you have a Hardware Wallet (like Trezor or Ledger) connected to your Yoroi Wallet?

I recommend you to get one ASAP for all your crypto

I am so sad to hear this STEMSKI. :cold_sweat: It is vital to put your cryptos on a hardware wallet, and NEVER let anyone else know what you have or where, except maybe your parents! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Cardano is still reasonably priced so invest in a Ledger Nano X and then buy more when you can.

Your funds are safe, when you have put them on a HW wallet. Folks don’t necessarily need to understand the difference in attack surface and the inherent danger when juggling private keys on a PC, but they can at least know that funds are orders of magnitude more safe when protected by a secure HW device.

This is analogous to F2A i.e. you must KNOW something (the shared secret) AND you must HAVE something to gain access

Sorry to hear that! Once the ADA is transferred, you have no way to get it back. I guess the only thing you could try is to make some social engineering in case that the thieves aren’t very smart. Check out on pool.pm if these addresses have certain NFTs. If they do, register the image, name and policy Id, then you could wait some time so that the situation cools down and then ask your “friends” about cNFTs and how cool they are. If they mention they have some and they are the same NFTs that you saw on pool.pm, then you can perhaps try to get your ADA back (I never encourage violence but in this case it might be justified because I don’t know if the police could help here. Perhaps you can try calling them to check if it would possibly to open a legal process). You could also ask your friends directly to show you their transaction history in their wallets. If you see these transfers from your wallets, then they are guilty. But they might not agree to do so. Good luck man!

It’s the same wallet, but different addresses. Both of these addresses use the same stake key.

Unfortunately, I am not yet connected to a hardware wallet with my Yoroi wallet. I don’t know how to do that, so it would be very nice if someone could say it. So that at least I have my 360 ADA safe

I will connect it to a hardware wallet. Thanks for your tips. I really thank you guys. Even though ADA is still cheap at the moment, I just don’t have more money to buy it. I’m trying to find out somehow who has my 500 ADA, but it’s going to be difficult …

But I’m glad that there are people here who help me <3

I will do it. Im Sorry but I’m really not very familiar with it, so I’m still hoping for help on how to connect a hardware wallet to my Yoroi wallet. Everyone started small.

First you need to pick a Hardware Wallet. I’m not an expert but I believe the two most commercial are: Trezor (T or One) and Ledger (Nano S or X). They’ve got diferent models, both are compatible with ADA Cardano and Yoroi Wallet.

You have to order one of these models directly from the official websites. Depending on your location takes a few days until it arrives. Prices go from €56. When it arrive, it comes the instructions how to set it up, and there’s plenty of YouTube tutorials!

This is definitely a huge protection to validate your transactions and your ADA Cardano. Trezor supports about 1816 different Crypto coins so far and for ADA only Model-T works which is pricey at about €189 and Ledger supports over 1150 and is more affordable I would say

The transactions will be difficult because they will most likely not show the correct wallets. One of my friends is most likely going to lie. he were stupid too, if he wouldn’t do it. I just hope that one of my two friends who transfer 500 ADA back to me because they have a bad feeling. I only hope so … If it was any of my friends at all …

I could see that with the NFTs tomorrow. It sounds like a good idea, thank you very much.

Mate get rid of yoroi wallet I have lost over 5k Ada last month …not happy .greg

… and why specifically would we want to blame Yoroi for it?

I have got all the rest of my coins in other software wallets no issues …
So maybe yoroi security is not sufficient ,who knows …

In cases like that, I would always first check if someone had direct access to the phone/computer. Software wallets are not as easy to hack as one might think, thus first check the weakest point in every secure system: the humans.

Except he thinks it’s a friend that helped him set up the wallet and has his seed phrase. If the friend did the same with a HW wallet ( and had the phrase ) he could’ve done the same thing. So yes, get a HW wallet but make sure no one has the seed.

I’ll do that, and I just want to find out who has my 500 ADA. I want to get it back and I’ll give everything.

I’m Sorry to hear that. 500 Ada is nothing compared to 5000 Ada but for me 500 ada is very, very much because I only had 860 ada. And I’m a student and unfortunately I’m not making any money yet, so it’s bad that I lost 500 ADA and I only have 360.

How can I check that someone has access to my PC? I don’t think anyone has access to my PC because otherwise they would take everything. But I would like to check it out anyway
