Node refuses to sync

The node verifies, but does not replay or sync. I have restarted and let it run for totally 20 hours. I got a small part of my ADA out via phrase through another wallet. But most are stuck inside Daedelius, which refuses to start.

There arent any coins stuck “inside of Daedalus”. As long as you have your seedphrase, you can use that and restore the funds in any other Cardano wallet like Typhon or Eternl.

Or do you use a hardware wallet?

No I use Youroi. The reason why I cannot get all of my ADA out is probably that I staked most of it last year. But in order to somehow get them back, I still need to get into the app

“Replaying ledger from on-disk blockchain” has no reached 45%, so it’s going in the right direction. Maybe the Not syncing an Not responding status is normal while Replaying?

I dont really understand what you mean.

If you have your seedphrase (12 or 15 or 24 words in most cases), it doesnt matter what exactly you did on Yoroi or Daedalus. You will be able to restore the keys and thus have access to your funds.

Sure but I can only restore what is not staked. I need to get into Daedelius to release the staked coins

No thats not correct. Even if your tokens are delegated to a pool, you still can use your seedphrase to restore the keys and have access to your funds.

There are at least two misconceptions here:

  1. Staking to Cardano stake pools does not lock tokens. They just stay in your wallet and can always be freely moved. Staking is just a registration on the blockchain that everything that is in the wallet at any epoch boundary is delegated to a certain stake pool. Basically just a vote on which stake pool should get to produce blocks.
  2. Even if it were locked: Staking is also not done inside a specific wallet app. You also can control it with any other wallet app. They are all just interfaces to the blockchain and you can freely switch them or use several in parallel.

Thanks - now Deadalius finally synced and I can see what my problem was: There was no problem.
Congratulations to the price rebound! Now ADA just needs to replace ETH as go-to smart contract currency
