Hello! I’ve browsed through the threads that experience this issue but have not been able to resolve it.
I have one relay node that is acting up. It went down after a few days on Alonzo upgrade and has been stuck on Starting… since.
I read somewhere about the db folder being corrupt. So i deleted the folder, and began syncing again. Its now been about 6-7 days on syncing(!!) and when I checked yesterday it was on epoch 282 and when checking the node again today I expected it to be fully synced but there we have it again; Starting…
I have no clue on why this happens. Please I need help.
journalctl -e -f -u cardano-node
Also did u downloaded the files for alonzo?
I’m not sure I downloaded the files for Alonzo? What files are we talking about.
Its weird, when I type “journalctl -e -f -u cardano-node”
It just says: – Logs begin at Sun 2021-09-19 18:00:00 CEST. –
And then a blinking dot under…

Im using CNtools. been upgrading the node with your guide here on the forum. But Im not sure what files I shouldve downloaded.

The topology"Something" is just different kinds of topology files I tried to try and speed up the sync speed.
The journalctl -e -f -u cnode worked! But its miles long. Ill share a textfile in a minute.
Here is the .txt file, I had to rename it to .pdf to be able to upload

cd /usr/local/bin
ls -l
and nano ${HOME}/.bashrc" - show me the last lines, with export ones
perfect, now go to
cd /usr/local/bin
sudo rm -R cardano-node
sudo rm -R cardano-cli
now run
. "${HOME}/.bashrc"
Now restart the node
sudo systemctl restart cnode
Check with journal …
journalctl -e -f -u cnode
Type top and check the CPU (should be ~100%)
Start glive
Also the new version will use more than 8G… how much RAM has the server?
Now its syncing again! Its on epoch 290 and syncing. I think it works now! Thank you so much Alex.
What was it that I had done wrong to cause this issue?

Before cntools u used another guide … and perhaps u missed also to run the command
. "${HOME}/.bashrc"
