yeah, you can install chrony for NTP
when u run deploy-as-systemd.sh on relay press Y for topology updater
also edit the topology updater script with Producer IP
on Producer you don’t need to run topology updater but you will need to edit the topology file (add the relays IP + port)
from cntools … you have 2 ways:
- make it online or offline
you can disconnect the internet cable (check before the slot leader), start cntools.sh go to pool - modify - and choose hybrid… then edit the pool parameters… it will generate a transaction… then sign the transaction, then connect again the node to internet, and submit the transaction
i got chrony setup already
you have the priv folder where you have wallet and pool folders.
-
the wallet files:
/priv/wallet/wallet1_name/ - here you will upload the wallet files (one folder/wallet) -
the pool files:
/priv/wallet/pool_name/ - here you will upload the pool files (one folder/pool)
Don’t i need a my air gapped files on my server for it to do everything with out the air gapped steps?
it depends if you still want to use the ari gapped server
do you want or not?
cntools alos provide a way to encrypt the pool/wallet files with .pgp extension
I mean the air gap is really annoying, so encrypting my folder would be ideal. What files should i add into the pool folder?
3 x cold files
hot.skey
hot.vkey
kes.start
op.cert
pool.cert
pool.config
pool.id
pool.id-bech32
poolmeta.json
vrf.skey
vrf.vkey
I dont have those pool.id-bech32 or pool.id files or pool.config
OP is my first old stake key i registered with thats no longer on my pool.cert, which has been changed to M_
i think the missing files will be generated after u will modify the pool
so… copy all you have (wallet files inside wallet folder and pool files inside pool folder)
and delete the op_ or m_ from the name
the original payment address i registered my pool with op_ since i set the new owner to the m_ do i need the op anymore?
move only the last/updated files … but do not delete yet from the air gapped, first you will need confirmations that everything is fine
I copied everything with the most updated files. Hot.vkey = kes.vkey ?
should be… rename it as hot.vkey
perfect, now wait for the node to be synced, edit the env file (POOL name line) and restart the node
! Pool name should be the pool folder name - case sensitive
yes my pool name is an EMOJI

yeah, but if you named the pool folder EMOJI then inside the env file to pool name - write EMOJI
it’s case sensitive so if the folder was named emoji you will need to write emoji
Its the same in both locations, can I use any name or does it have to be my pools name?
