I understand the time delay between first time delegating and the rewards. What happens when I
Switch from pool A to pool B after being with poop A for a couple of months?

Does it take that many days to reset everything and another time delay or does it just transfer over with the new epoch and the cycles carry’s on?

Nope, the rewards are delayed with 2 epochs so:

  • if u redelegate on epoch x
  • epoch x+1 → snapshot (receive rewards from old pool for epoch x-1)
  • epoch x+2 → the stake will became active for the new pool, still receive rewards from old pool for epoch X
  • epoch x+3 → the rewards from new pool (for epoch x+2) will be calculated, still receive rewards from old pool for epoch x+1
  • epoch x+4 → u will receive rewards from new pool for epoch x+2

Conclusion: re-delegating u will not lose any epoch … but the new pool should create blocks… if not u will not receive
