Announcing the winners of the Cardano.org Artwork Contest

Before announcing the winners, we want to thank everyone who participated in the artwork contest! We appreciate the effort and creativity that went into them. Now, let’s congratulate our three winners:

The jury voted in favour of awarding the prize as planned, but not to use the designs as a replacement of the current header on cardano.org. We appreciate everyone who participated and will take the lessons from this contest into future initiatives.

Thank you for the opportunity to participate, I really appreciate that my submission was chosen from among many others. I realize this is not such a masterpiece, but I tried. :upside_down_face:

I am a newbie to crypto. Until now I was very sceptic about it because of volatility and scams, but recently my friend advised me to invest in Cardano and when I was doing my quick research about ADA, I bumped to this Contest just few days before deadline, but I decided to try my luck. I am pretty amazed about Cardano community and it´s strenght. This is one of the biggest advantages for Cardano. :heart:

A lot of opinions have already been voiced here. I also watched how it would end up, and after the results were postponed for the 2nd time my concerns that the whole crypto is a scam were back. Contest was cancelled. Then this amazing community calling for justice and transparency - thumbs up :raised_hands:, but also huge thumbs up for oganisers that they were able to finally change their decision even if the final result was not as planned. :muscle:

So you’re saying you’re giving out the prize as planned, do I understand correctly that I just won $2,500? What are the next steps? I did not receive any email or further instructions - can I give you the wallet address?

@Tomas_Griger’s first place design is amazing work in my opinion, and subjectively I would rather see it on cardano.org than the current design… my ultimate origin in the Western Hemisphere has nothing to do with it.

Along that line, I wonder if that’s the reason why

The jury voted … not to use the designs as a replacement of the current header

… perhaps because the top choice suggests a geographic or cultural preference? In the spirit of fair play & shared interest in our ecosystem definition I hope someone from @cf-team can give some details about this. :wink:

My idea and intention was to create a spinning globe like @brouwerQ suggests and also live interactions (animation showing transactions between countries/continents), but I am only UX/UI designer and I can´t create such complex graphics and animations. I realize there is still a lot of room to improve this design. :muscle:

PS: @juligiraldo me too, I am still waiting for instructions how to claim the prize.
