Inspired by the Ledger hacking story (thanks Less) and to help us maintain a sense of perspective on Daedalus I thought it might be good to have a thread about issues with other crypto wallets.
Here’s one to start with…
I have the ZENCash Desktop GUI Wallet. To be fair, it is classified as “experimental”, but here’s my experience anyway: as I type this it’s been syncing (from scratch) continuously for about 24 hours and has reached about 96% completion. This is the third time I’ve had to do this. I run Daedalus very regularly just so it doesn’t take too long to sync each time (and I’ve had no problems), but now I’m very reluctant to start up this wallet in case, yet again, I see the error message “couldn’t connect to server”.
(Edit: I believe this issue might be fixed in the latest issue.)
Any more?
