Hey Jesse
Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions
In the most basic form, the value is derived from supply and demand. More demand, less supply, value drives higher. Emurgo’s sole purpose is to drive usage (demand) for Cardano’s blockchain.
Thank you I did watch a documentary to understand how supply and demand works. Thank you so much for sharing the Emurgos it’s pretty clear that my research wasn’t as good as I thought so.
**I like the fact that there’s an option that helps other business to pug into the blockchain. **
Now let see if I understand this right will the ADA generate money from transactions that are being made or for the services that the company is providing such as the Emurgos service?
I agree with @vantuz-subhuman, scalability is blockchain’s Aeschylus’ heel. BTC, ETH, etc all have scalability issues, and Cardano’s team is supposed to solve this problem (verifying mathematically) using POS. Nobody in this space has officially done this. Also, Cardano’s team isn’t thinking of a year or two years out, Charles in an interview said they want to see ADA survive 40 years out, which means they have thoroughly thought this thing out.
Thank you for sharing this. I had a feeling that scalability is the main issues that they are trying to solve
So like you, I spent months researching cryptos. I do not have a technical background in developing, computer programming, coding, etc. I am a chemist, so I have a science heavy background. The one thing that stood out most to me was their rigorous process of developing research papers and having them validated by peer review. This is a research/work intensive process that is not easy to do. In their papers (disclaimer: I haven’t check out ALL their math) there are able to mathematically prove their processes. If you can prove a process mathematically, then in theory you can develop based on top of these concepts. Right now, they have produced numerous research papers, and now the are building on top of these concepts. SO were halfway through my “aha” moment, and I’m patiently waiting to see some results (and I imagine developing is not an easy process). However, I do believe they have some very intelligent engineers and developers that will be able to deliver these results.
Thank you for taking the time to explain this. It helped me a lot.
