Yoroi wallet - ADA GIVE AWAY! Funds not returned

Hi Guys,

I used Yoroi wallet to send ADA to the Give Away wallet and haven’t gotten anything back. I’m lost here.

First off, i’ve been holding ADA for a while but new to the Cardano ecosystem. I got the Yoroi wallet recently and deposited some ADA into the wallet. that went well. I was watching the ADA TO THE MOON! | Why Cardano is Best Blockchain In 2021 | Decentralized Future | Live Event on youtube and saw they were giving away some ADA. So i decided to participate. I sent 5050 ADA to the Address listed on the linked site. [LINK removed by @Zyroxa] . The transaction went through but i didn’t receive anything back. Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Hello zbloc, unfortunately that is an address used for scamming people. The same address and live from youtube have been reported twice by myself yesterday. One of the accounts have been stopped and banned but they keep on doing live on there.

As I’ve posted in another topic, please, please, please DO check with the community before giving away your ADA. There is no giveaway from Cardano.

Edit: there should be a topic with blacklisted sites where people can write them down and keep the community away from them.

There are no give aways from the Cardano Foundation, Emurgo nor IOG!

This was clearly a scam and you should report it to your local police.

Just report them to youtube for scam. More reports faster ban.

I agree we should have a topic for scam sites so users can be more protected. I had spotted myself one such scam through a telegram group that supposedly give free ada.
