Apa Yang Dapat Dilakukan Oleh Cardano Governance Education Working Group
Ekosistem Cardano terus berkembang dengan pesat, dan bersamaan dengan itu tanggung jawab komunitas dalam berpartisipasi pada tata kelola semakin besar. Untuk mendukung partisipasi yang lebih inklusif, terarah, dan terinformasi, komunitas membutuhkan akses pada materi edukasi governance yang mudah dipahami, relevan, dan tersedia dalam berbagai bahasa. Di sinilah Cardano Governance Education Working Group (CGEWG) mengambil peran strategisnya.
CGEWG merupakan bagian dari struktur ekosistem yang difasilitasi oleh Intersect MBO, organisasi membership yang dibangun untuk mendukung kolaborasi komunitas, standar governance, serta pembangunan berkelanjutan dalam jaringan Cardano. Melalui WG ini, para anggota bekerja sama untuk membangun fondasi edukasi yang sistematis dan dapat diakses oleh siapa pun, mulai dari pemula dalam blockchain hingga kontributor governance tingkat lanjut.
Artikel ini membahas arah, tantangan, kebutuhan komunitas, serta upaya CGEWG dalam membangun basis edukasi tata kelola Cardano yang lebih kokoh dan berkelanjutan serta bagaimana komunitas dapat berperan langsung dalam proses ini.
Mengapa Edukasi Governance Menjadi Kebutuhan Mendesak?
Dengan hadirnya era governance on-chain melalui CIP-1694 dan struktur tata kelola baru (constitutional committees, delegations, DReps, dan voting), partisipasi yang efektif semakin membutuhkan pemahaman yang cukup mendalam. Namun, realita saat ini menunjukkan beberapa tantangan utama:
- Kompleksitas Materi Governance
Konsep seperti threshold, quorum, constitutional parameters, atau model checks & balances sering kali terlalu teknis bagi anggota baru.
- Ketimpangan Akses Bahasa dan Pemahaman
Banyak materi governance tersedia dalam bahasa Inggris dan format teknis. Komunitas yang lebih luas termasuk dari kawasan Asia, Afrika, Amerika Selatan memerlukan konten yang lebih sederhana dan mudah diadaptasi.
- Minimnya Kurasi Sumber Edukasi
Materi governance tersebar di berbagai tempat: GitHub, Forum, dokumentasi Intersect, channel YouTube, sampai slide komunitas. Tanpa kurasi, anggota baru kesulitan mengetahui titik awal pembelajaran.
- Kebutuhan Konteks Lokal
Komunitas di setiap negara mempunyai kebutuhan yang berbeda. Misalnya, komunitas Indonesia seperti Cardano Indonesian Town Hall mungkin membutuhkan materi yang disesuaikan dengan budaya diskusi dan tingkat literasi teknologi lokal.
Ketiadaan struktur edukasi yang jelas dapat membuat banyak anggota merasa tidak percaya diri untuk terlibat dalam governance, padahal governance adalah jantung dari visi Cardano.
Peran Strategis CGEWG dalam Ekosistem Governance Cardano
CGEWG berfungsi sebagai simpul kolaboratif untuk:
Memetakan seluruh materi governance yang sudah ada
Mengidentifikasi kekosongan (gap) dalam ekosistem edukasi
Mengembangkan kerangka kerja pendidikan governance yang dapat diadopsi oleh komunitas global
Berkolaborasi dengan WG lain dan berbagai komunitas internasional untuk memastikan materi tetap akurat, inklusif, dan mudah dipahami
Sebagai hasil awal, WG telah menyusun inventaris pertama berisi daftar sumber edukasi governance Cardano, yang dilakukan bersama salah satu kontributor aktif, Nana Safo. Inventaris ini menjadi fondasi penting dalam perencanaan kurikulum governance yang lebih sistematis.
Namun, pekerjaan belum selesai. Justru, tahap selanjutnya membutuhkan partisipasi lebih besar dari komunitas global.
Mengapa Masukan Komunitas Sangat Penting?
Edukasi governance bukan sesuatu yang bisa dibangun oleh satu kelompok saja. Governance pada dasarnya adalah komponen sosial yang hidup dari partisipasi masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, masukan komunitas menjadi krusial karena:
- Komunitas Tahu Kebutuhannya Sendiri
Pengguna baru, operator stake pool, builder, dan konten kreator memiliki perspektif berbeda mengenai apa yang perlu dipelajari. Kombinasi perspektif ini yang akan membentuk kurikulum governance yang lebih komprehensif.
- Komunitas Dapat Mengukur Kesulitan & Aksesibilitas
Misalnya: apakah diagram lebih mudah dipahami? Apakah video 2 menit lebih efektif daripada artikel panjang? Apakah materi perlu lebih banyak contoh kasus nyata?
- Komunitas Mampu Mengusulkan Format Baru
Contoh ide dari komunitas:
- Visualisasi decision timeline untuk setiap tahapan governance
- Micro-learning via carousel IG/Tiktok
- Modul ringkas “Governance 101” untuk pemula
- Video rekap mingguan perkembangan governance
- Komunitas Bisa Membantu Menyebarkan Materi
Mudah menyebarnya materi melalui komunitas lokal akan mempercepat adopsi governance secara global.
Tahap pertama yang saya garis bawahi adalah dengan menyebarkan Weekly Development Update yang langsung diterima setiap member dari IntersectMBO
Dengan kata lain: tanpa suara komunitas, edukasi governance tidak akan pernah benar-benar inklusif.
Kebutuhan Utama yang Kami Identifikasi dari Komunitas
Melalui diskusi awal dengan berbagai komunitas, termasuk Asia Tenggara dan Afrika, beberapa kebutuhan yang paling sering muncul antara lain:
Materi dasar (Beginner-Friendly)
Apa itu governance on-chain?
Apa tugas DRep?
Apa itu Constitutional Committee?
Bagaimana cara pemungutan suara bekerja di Cardano?
Namun pertanyaan sederhana ini tidak cukup jika tidak dipasangkan dengan variabel lainnya seperti, apa tugas DReps dan apakah seorang DReps dapat bergerak bebas di ekosistem lain?
Seperti apa Governance Onchain dan seperti apa Governance Offchain.

Pemahaman tentang Parameter Governance
Komunitas membutuhkan penjelasan visual seperti grafik, tabel, atau ilustrasi untuk menjelaskan:
- Governance thresholds
- Quorum
- Checks & balances
- Voting logic
Sejauh ini, bukan hanya itu saja yang seharusnya komunitas perhatikan tapi juga adanya perkembangan dari working groups di seluruh komite yang ada di IntersectMBO yang memiliki kecenderungan dalam menyebutkan beberapa wording yang selalu familiar walaupun mereka semua tidak melakukan cross meeting secara formal, ini menandakan adanya arus informasi yang memang menjadi kesatuan interest dalam tubuh IntersectMBO. Ditambah lagi dengan adanya BeyondMVG project yang saat ini sedang berjalan dengan luar biasanya, dimana mereka dengan sangat komprehensif membedah state of governance report dan menelusuri lebih dalam kebutuhan setiap governance actor yang ada di Cardano ecosystem.
Interpretasi Proposal Governance
Banyak anggota kesulitan memahami CIP, amendement, dan proposal teknis. Mereka membutuhkan versi yang lebih sederhana:
“Ringkasan 1 paragraf + dampak terhadap ekosistem.”
Narasi Lokal dan Contoh Konkret
Komunitas membutuhkan konteks:diluar dampak dari proyek BeyondMVG
Bagaimana governance Cardano bisa membantu ekosistem lokal?
Contohnya: untuk publik, universitas, UMKM, hingga developer lokal.
Format Edukasi yang Lebih Ringkas
Banyak anggota komunitas lebih menyukai, dan sebagai hasil dari banyaknya arus informasi yang beredar di komite-komite:

- Infografik
- Modul pendek yang bisa diunduh
Usulan Untuk CGEWG: Membangun Framework Edukasi yang Terstruktur
Framework ini dirancang agar struktur pembelajaran governance lebih jelas dan mudah diikuti. Komponennya mencakup:
- Struktur Kurikulum Bertingkat
Pemula (Level 1): konsep dasar governance
Menengah (Level 2): peran DReps, committee, voting process
Lanjut (Level 3): parameter governance, konstitusi, CIP-1694

What the Cardano Governance Education Working Group Can Do
The Cardano ecosystem continues to grow rapidly, and with it the community’s responsibility to participate in governance is growing. To support more inclusive, targeted, and informed participation, the community needs access to easy-to-understand, relevant, and multilingual governance education materials. This is where the Cardano Governance Education Working Group (CGEWG) plays a strategic role.
The CGEWG is part of an ecosystem structure facilitated by Intersect MBO, a membership organization established to support community collaboration, governance standards, and sustainable development within the Cardano network. Through this WG, members collaborate to build a systematic educational foundation accessible to everyone, from blockchain beginners to advanced governance contributors.
This article discusses the direction, challenges, community needs, and the CGEWG’s efforts to build a more robust and sustainable foundation for Cardano governance education, as well as how the community can directly contribute to this process.
Why is Governance Education an Urgent Need?
With the advent of on-chain governance through CIP-1694 and new governance structures (constitutional committees, delegations, DReps, and voting), effective participation increasingly requires a deeper understanding. However, the current reality presents several key challenges:
- Complexity of Governance Material
Concepts such as threshold, quorum, constitutional parameters, or the checks and balances model are often too technical for new members.
- Inequality of Language Access and Understanding
Many governance materials are available in English and technical formats. The broader community, including those from Asia, Africa, and South America, requires simpler and more adaptable content.
- Lack of Curated Educational Resources
Governance materials are scattered across various platforms: GitHub, forums, Intersect documentation, YouTube channels, and community slides. Without curation, new members struggle to find a starting point for learning.
- Local Context Needs
Communities in each country have different needs. For example, an Indonesian community like the Cardano Indonesian Town Hall may require materials tailored to the local culture of discussion and technological literacy.
The lack of a clear educational structure can make many members feel insecure about engaging in governance, even though governance is at the heart of Cardano’s vision.
The Strategic Role of the CGEWG in the Cardano Governance Ecosystem
The CGEWG serves as a collaborative hub to:
Map all existing governance materials
Identify gaps in the education ecosystem
Develop a governance education framework that can be adopted by the global community
Collaborate with other WGs and various international communities to ensure materials remain accurate, inclusive, and accessible
As a preliminary result, the WG has compiled the first inventory of Cardano governance education resources, conducted in collaboration with one of its active contributors, Nana Safo. This inventory provides an important foundation for planning a more systematic governance curriculum.
However, the work is not finished. In fact, the next phase requires greater participation from the global community.
Why is Community Input So Important?
Governance education is not something that can be built by a single group. Governance is fundamentally a social component that thrives on community participation. Therefore, community input is crucial because:
- The Community Knows Its Own Needs
New users, stake pool operators, builders, and content creators have different perspectives on what needs to be learned. The combination of these perspectives will shape a more comprehensive governance curriculum.
- The Community Can Gauge Difficulty & Accessibility
For example: is a diagram easier to understand? Is a 2-minute video more effective than a lengthy article? Does the material need more real-world examples?
- The Community Can Suggest New Formats
Examples of ideas from the community:

Micro-learning via IG/Tiktok carousel
Concise “Governance 101” module for beginners
Weekly recap videos of governance developments
- The Community Can Help Disseminate Materials
Easily disseminating materials through local communities will accelerate global governance adoption.
- The first step I’m emphasizing is the distribution of the Weekly Development Update to public, which every member receives directly from IntersectMBO.
- The second step: this move will be eligible if the Intersect Hubs continues
In other words: without community voice, governance education will never be truly inclusive.
Key Needs We Identified from the Community
Through initial discussions with various communities, including Southeast Asia
In Asia and Africa, some of the most frequently asked questions include:
Basic Materials (Beginner-Friendly)
What is on-chain governance?
What are the duties of a DRep?
What is the Constitutional Committee?
How does voting work on Cardano?
However, these simple questions are insufficient if they are not paired with other variables, such as: what are the duties of DReps and can DReps move freely in other ecosystems?
What does on-chain governance look like and what does off-chain governance look like?
Other Key Points:
Understanding Governance Parameters
The community needs visual explanations such as graphs, tables, or illustrations to explain:
Governance thresholds
Quorum
Checks & balances
Voting logic
So far, this is not the only thing the community should pay attention to, but also the development of working groups across all IntersectMBO committees, which tend to use certain familiar terms even though they don’t meet formally. This indicates a flow of information that truly represents a unified interest within IntersectMBO. Furthermore, the BeyondMVG project is currently underway, comprehensively analyzing the state of governance report and delving deeper into the needs of each governance actor in the Cardano ecosystem.
Interpreting the Governance Proposal
Many members struggle to understand the CIP, amendments, and technical proposals. They need a simpler version:
“1-paragraph summary + ecosystem impact.”
Local Narratives and Concrete Examples
The community needs context: beyond the impact of the BeyondMVG project.
How can Cardano governance help the local ecosystem?
For example: for the public, universities, MSMEs, and local developers.
