Is there a trick or something I am missing for changing fees? I attempted to change my fee three times over the last three epochs and it is still set to my original fee.

I never got an error when submitting the transaction, and the ada was deducted each time for the TX.

That happened to me also.
It now works ok but Im unable to tell why.
