ERROR while changing "existing" STAKE POOL TICKER

Hi everyone…
Here is the background: I have a pool that has been running for a while and I want to change its TICKER but keep getting the following error: Error while submitting tx: ApplyTxError [LedgerFailure (UtxowFailure (UtxoFailure (ValueNotConservedUTxO (Coin ####) (Coin ######))))]

I am using the guides and since the pool is already up and running I am using the guidance on how to REGISTER A POOL since guidance on how to change ticker name doesnt seem to exist. In order to change the TICKER should I go back a few more steps and RE-REGISTER STAKE ADDRESS or start even further back?

All of my keys are intact and working. I am able to sign/send and receive transactions from my payment address but I am unable to change ticker. I’ve read thru several of the threads with this same error message however I am still having the problem and not of the threads are directly related to TICKER change. They are related to initial registration of pool. Is there separate guidance on changing ticker?? Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

AFAIK, your error points to a mismatch of incoming and outgoing ADA amounts, not the ticker symbol. When re-registering do not “pay” the 500 ADA deposit a second time, just the transaction fees.

the solution, after the fact is logical, but trying to discover this on my own was not intuitive. All guidance on TICKER change definitely should to be updated to clearly show this… currently no guidance exist.

For how long did you have to wait for your ticker change to be updated in the SMASH database (visible in Daedalus for example)? Thanks
