Daedalus implementation

Hello everyone, I have a question for the more experienced. Some people in the community finance the pledge of a staking pool because they don’t have the technical skills or the time to manage it. I am one of those people and if something were to happen to me, I would be comfortable if my loved ones could be able to recover the pledge even without having high technical skills. Do you think that in the future Daedalus can also be implemented to manage pledge-type addresses through private.skey, private.vkey so as to make it easier for our loved ones to recover the pledge?
Thanks !

Depends on your action performed, but you can generate your keys using mnemonics entered in Daedalus even now (you should NOT have to share payment or stake key). Thus, once pledged - if you want to empty your wallet, and dont want your loved ones to have to muck around with keys, all they need to is use your 15/24 word seed to unlock funds and move it out.

Thanks for your answer, but I don’t have the mnemonics, I created the address for the pledge with cntools and I only have the payment.address payment.skey and payment.vkey. For this I was hoping that in the future it would be possible to do a “restore” in Daedalus by transforming the private key into mnemonics.

So that’s going the other way round. You would want to create wallet in your preferred wallet (Yoroi/Daedalus/ADALite/Medusa) and then import in CNTools.

By the way, if someone has asked you to share stake keys , please beware that it’s not a good practice. Should you decide to change/stop the pledge in future, please remember to move funds to a new wallet , whose keys are not shared with anyone

Thanks Priyank !
