Daedalus replaying ledger takes 2 days

Since the 6.0 (and 6.0.1 upgrade), every time I start the Daedalus wallet, it takes around 45 hours for the get through the initialization step of replaying ledger from on-disk blockchain. I have a windows machine with 16gb ram and I expected it to not take as long after the first time, but it continues to take days to load the wallet.

Is there anything I can do to speed this up? It never took this long on older versions.

Is there any reason for you to use a fullnode wallet like Daedalus? If not i would recommand to restore your keys in a litewallet like Typhon or Eternl.

I would never use Daedalus personally but I do believe in keeping track of details about Cardano software for comparative, economic, and academic reasons. If anyone can answer the original question about expectations for this or any later version of Daedalus I would appreciate their sharing.

I turned on RTS and it completed the process overnight (10 hours).

Can you share how you turned on RTS, and what RTS is?
