Delegated Representative (DRep) Community Workshop in Oslo
On January 20, 2024, the first delegated representative (DRep) community workshop occurred in Oslo. The event was hosted by Cardano Ambassador Thomas Lindseth and long-standing SPO Eystein Hansen (ANP). Funded by Project Catalyst, this event aimed to refine a Code of Conduct for DReps, emphasizing values such as competence, transparency, and fairness. The workshop facilitated thought-provoking discussion among diverse participants, including developers and stake pool operators, on topics like the motivations for becoming a DRep, the importance of integrating governance features into wallets, and the necessity for high-quality educational content for DReps. In a speedrun workshop on DRep tooling, innovative concepts like basket voting or a vote market were discussed, highlighting the community’s commitment to enhancing the governance system.
