Downloading Daedalus wallet on new device

Hi All,

I am trying to access my ADA from many years ago. The Daedalus Mainnet wallet on my old laptop will not fully sync the blockchain no matter how long I wait and takes up all the space on my old laptop.

I am trying to download daedalus on my new laptop but when I go to https://daedaluswallet.io/ and click download I get this message:“We’re working on a new version of Daedalus normal right now. Please check back soon!”

Yoroi cannot help me because it only supports 15-word and 24-word recovery phrases (mine is 12). adalite.io didn’t really help me either even though i put in my 12-word recovery phrase.

What can I do from here?

You most likely have a Byron wallet (thats before staking was introduced).

You can restore this wallet on adalite.io or adawallet.io without having to download the whole blockchain.

That doesn’t sound right.

I just downloaded Daedalus 7.0.2 a couple of hours ago without problem.

But it won’t be fun. Needs days to sync the chain and then hours to sync the wallet.

If at all possible, try adalite.io or adawallet.io.
