Help improve cardano.org: Feedback needed for the new CEX Picker!

As many of you know, the official website cardano.org is an open-source project, and we are constantly working to make it more useful and informative for both new and existing users.

We are currently working on an exciting new feature: A “CEX Picker” (Exchange Picker).

The goal is to provide website visitors with a simple overview of where they can trade ada in their specific country. We are also tracking which exchanges support Cardano Native Tokens (CNT).

There is currently active discussion and development happening on GitHub, and we need your local expertise to fill the database.

What is it about exactly?

  • Issue #355: This discussion defines the data we need (Country, Exchange, CNT support). Link to Issue

  • Issue #363: This is the technical implementation (JSON file). Link to Issue

How can you help?

We need to know which exchanges are available in your country and what features they offer.

  1. For Developers: Check the code in Issue #363.

  2. For the Community: Look at the examples below and comment with the data for your region!

No GitHub experience? No problem!

You can simply reply to this thread with the information. We will transfer it to GitHub for you.

How to post your feedback (Please use this format):

We specifically need: Country, Exchange Name, and Features (ada only OR ada + CNTs).

  • Example 1: Adding a new entry (Standard)

    “Germany: Kraken (ada, CNT)”

    “USA: Coinbase (ada)”

    “Switzerland: Merkur (ada)”

  • Example 2: Adding details about Native Tokens (CNTs)

“For Minswap (if listed) or Bitrue, please note they support CNTs (Native Tokens), not just ada.”

  • Example 3: Reporting specific regional availability

    “Philippines: coins.ph (ada, CNT)”

“Note: This exchange is very popular locally and should definitely be on the list for PH.”

Let’s work together to make cardano.org the best resource for the ecosystem.

I added Kraken for Canada. However, I also added ways to fund your account. Some exchanges here do not qualify for all funding types, so people end up loosing a lot of money of fees (or scams). It would be nice if there was also a supported funding/ transfer type listed for each exchange. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve just checked your comment on GitHub, thank you. This is a good idea regarding the funding types for future improvements. We will keep that in mind; of course, it is then something that needs to be maintained as well.
