Howdy! My name is Mark. I am pleased to meet you and thanks for stopping by. I don’t have a gimmick. I don’t have an agenda. I am just another Cardano enthusiast wanting to contribute.
I don’t have much pledge to start. All I ask for is a small 3% pool margin. All margin earnings will be put towards the pledge balance until the MARKPool pledge milestone has been reached. What is the MARKPool pledge balance milestone? 100k ADA is a good start. I’m am not sure yet if I want to stop there. I would be happy to have that discussion when the time comes.
I am from York, Pennsylvania, USA. I am a stay at home father of a very active 2.5 year old while also working from home as a full time freelance web developer and designer. I have been in this feild for the past 12 years.
In addition to helping build the internets, I like to hunt, camp, explore, and eat. I enjoy playing with old and new technology, reading instruction manuals, practicing guitar, and the occasional Netflix binge. Spending time with the family is good every once in a while too.

I unfortunately missed the ITN window as I was busy with life at that time. I did still periodically try to stay up to date with the progress of Cardano. I have been a fan since the early whiteboards of 2017. With the recent launch, I have taken more interest in contributing and doing my part to help keep the network decentralized.
I don’t have much ADA with which to pledge in the beginning. You will notice I only added my 2 ADAs worth. The remaining went towards staking in the pool.
My pool is a VPS is hosted on a North Eastern USA server. Currently it is running 4 CPUs with 6 Gigs of RAM and 80 Gigs of hard drive space. This can easily be upgraded as needed. The server is running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
I do hope to build a decent server box in the future to run the stake pool off common cloud services to help keep the network even more decentralized.
I followed advice from several pool manuals. StakePool247, CoinCashew, and of course good Ol’ IOHK support. There is also the new Stake Pool School from Cardano that I am also following along with as well just to make sure I didn’t miss anything and to see if there is anything new. There is still much to learn as things continue to evolve.
