Introducing Daffy the Duckling Pool [DAFFY]

Hi everyone,

I’m James from the Daffy Team, we are a group of developers and crypto enthusiasts who want to be a part of the Cardano community. We began our journey in March 2021 and now we decide to create a Stake Pool - Daffy the Duckling Pool. Our mission is to create a high-performance pool with high rewards and educational channels sharing knowledge about technical & financial concepts of Cardano and blockchain technology.

  • Pool Infrastructure & Redundancy: Our nodes are deployed on VPS services, which are ensured with high availability. We also stay updated with the latest changes on Cardano for best practices on operation and security.
    • 1 block producer node: 6 vCPUs, 16GB RAM, 400GB SSD
    • 2 relay nodes: 6 vCPUs, 16 GB RAM. 400GB SSD, located in different regions in the US.
  • Operator experience: Our technical team has experience in managing Cloud systems with Solution Architect certification. We are also working and researching blockchain technology with energy and enthusiasm.

Motivation

Some of our members have had interests in blockchain and crypto for a long time. We believe in Cardano’s mission - “To bring a new standard in technology - open and inclusive – to challenge the old and activate a new age of sustainable, globally distributed innovation”.

Decentralization & Community

We love the idea of a self-government community from Cardano. Therefore we want to participate in the process of building this community by becoming a secured and stable node in the system, being active in voting rounds to support best projects for the community, running channels that provide educational content for sharing knowledge and discussions.

Long-term

We are currently in the research stage and open to many business ideas in the future on the Cardano platform, including CNFT, dApps, Smart-contract… With the Alonzo hard-fork event, Cardano Summit in 2021, DeFi projects go to mainnet in early 2022, an exciting time is waiting for us, a new era, which will surely come along with promising opportunities.
