I just dont get it, how did db1.0 get in the trash in the first place? it all just sounds wrong unless you mistakenly added it to trash and now its mapped to there… weird
I put it there. Its part of number 209 in the Daedalus FAQ troubleshooting PDF
ahh ok just get rid of it then, empty your trash and wait i guess
So i just deleted Daedalus, rebooted, reinstalled daedalus, opened daedalus, and then went into where the DB1.0 file is and all the contents are still gone, shouldnt they all be back there if i just reinstalled daedalus?
I just tried this and it did not work. UGH! Thanks for your help!!
The files are created during synchronization, so if you see progress in Daedalus then you on track.
hmm, well never had any other issue with it and I´m using the same system as you do, so I can´t help you any further
same here, I’m baffled
Hello there, I am having the same issue as well. This leads me to believe that Mr. Hoskins is not having the best team to address issues like this. It is very annoying to go our self to fix issues when we are their customers putting our faith in your crypto. You should do a better job launching a good wallet for us to use. A user friendly version please!
Hello everyone! Back with an update. So last night i ran two different Virus scans, (no viruses found) ran two different MAC “cleaners” (got rid of 60GB of shit) and ran Disk Utility and of course deleted those pesky DB1.0 files. I have downloaded Daedalus and I was finally able to connect to the network and Daedalus is syncing now, albeit very slowly. Looks like I am back on track. Thanx for all the help and I will post later once i am in the wallet. CHEERS!!!
I reinstalled Daedalus just this morning. Just like you, I rec’d the message about synching time with Internet Server. I did this, restarted the Daedalus and it continued to chug along until it reached 100%. The entire process took 4 hours, but installed and restored perfectly. Please sync your time with an internet server, then try again, good luck!
Do you consider yourself as an intelligent rational species? Then, pls behave like that as I cannot see any sign of it in your reply.
I have already written the following in some of my prev posts.
Do not know something is fine (that’s just ignorance), but having an illusion of knowledge that’s a very different story.
Come back when you can speak english
How about you calm down, take a deep breath and be gratefull that community members are willing to help you?
Or alternatively you can keep this up and be silenced.
Now… back on topic or to the pits of silence.
It would be a shame as it seems to me that you are inches away from solving your problem.
chose wisely @samsaraa
Certainly its not against the law to be frustrated? Also, I never made any personal attacks on anyone on the forum and I have been quite grateful to those who lended a hand in helping me. Its starting to not feel so “decentralized” in here…
This is an easy fix on Mac, I am using High Sierra and had an issue once but once solved I have never had a problem since. The issue is most likely local to your computer. Future versions of Daedalus will deal with various operating system environments a little better.
I saw that you were at the time sync problem again. Perform the timesync procedure and use an Apple time server. Please ensure you use the correct time zone. Time MUST be within 20 seconds accuracy. Then compare your system time to the “Tick-Tock” at this location https://time.gov

You didn’t say anything out of the ordinary. I got the same treatment when I made a rational criticism of the Daedalus team when I was frustrated too. Anyway, after I was at my wits end, the thing that worked for me was to get a VPN service. Apparently there is a conflict of some sort with my ISP that the team needs to iron out, I was told. It was 99 USD for three years for NordVPN. It wasn’t a fix by the Daedalus team, but it was a successful workaround for me. If you have more trouble you might consider that.
Not at all, but is writing in all caps really the best way to vent those frustrations. One could argue that venting your frustrations towards the same people who are trying to help is counter productive to some degree.
Indeed, but clearly things were getting a bit heated so forgive me if i misinterpreted the situation
This is a forum, it’s bound to be somewhat centralized. Though it gets better if you stick around long enough and get lounge access. You make a good point here, but alas, this is beyond my control.
Anyway, i really hope you are able to resolve your issue. My apologies if you perceived my post as being rude, i’m not having a great day either.
Hopefully yours will get better after you find a solution.
@rickymac- Thank you for this post. Currently I am in the wallet. It is 4% into wallet restoration. One interesting thing it keeps doing is backing out of the wallet and it says “network connection lost - reconnecting” I’m just gonna leave the computer over night and see what’s what in the morn. Thank again for the help, much apreciated!!
Customer support has told me that my problem is not unique and they are aware and working on it. I’m assuming this fix will be in Daedalus 1.4. They did not tell me exactly what it is, but maybe it is the same problem you encountered. Thank you so much for your help. Much appreciated!!!
