Pool operators: how do you promote your pool to acquire new delegators?

With a good technical background, you can set up, secure, maintain and run a Cardano stake pool. But the most difficult still remains the promotion of this new freshly created pool and having a chance to obtain the first rewards. How did you proceed to successfully attract your first delegators? Running reddit ads? Posting on different forums? Writing articles to get organic traffic to your pool’s website?

I am not saying that it is difficult. All we have to face is marketing. In best case a few whales might be interested. If every day the members double we have exponential growth! We have to deliver education as well. I bet most delegates as well as SPOs do not understand how the reward and active stake works. For example if a supporter decides to change the pool.
