When I tried to open Daedalus wallet 2.4.0 Cardano node keeps crashing. Now when I try to start Daedalus wallet 2.4.1. It keeps having the same problem

I already allowed cardano-launcher.exe to freely communicate with the internet

Anyone having the same problem as I do? How did you solve it?

You may want to reinstall Daedalus.

Please use that guide to uninstall https://iohk.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013170694-Uninstall-Daedalus and make sure you have your seed to restore your wallet.

The instructions from this web page https://iohk.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011321094-Deleting-and-restoring-wallet-data requires me to get into the Daedalus wallet itself but the Wallet can’t be opened because Cardano node crashes every time I tried to open the wallet

Could I use the instructions on this web page https://iohk.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013170694-Uninstall-Daedalus to uninstall Daedalus Wallet. This process doesn’t require me to get into the Wallet itself

Since I have 2 wallets Byron and Shelley wallets. Could I delete the Byron wallet since we won’t be using Byron wallet any longer?

That should definitly work :slight_smile:

As long as you have transfered your funds from there you can remove them yes.

I have the recovery phrases for both wallets. Do I need to provide the wallet names when I try to recover them? I went through this process before but I can’t remember if I need to provide the wallet names

Nope you just need the seed (recovery phrase).

Having the same problems, just updated daedalus now the add stays opened for about 1sec and then just closes. How should i procede?
