Congratulations! We are just starting up our pool EUAP1, and would love to get into the program, can you point us in the right direction for this program signup? (tried searching, maybe missed it)

Hi Alexd1985
Could you please inform me how can start an staking pool?
How much money should I have? Also… What equipment do I need?
Thanks
With regards
Niroo

Hi,

If u don’t have friends with bags of ADA or if u are not an influencer then my advice is to not start a POOL

The pool will need ~1 M ada delegated for an average of 1 block/epoch

cheers,

PS: u can start a POOL with few ADA but don’t expect to mint block often. U can look at other pools on adapools.org (filter them by amount of ADA delegated and u can estimate how many blocks your pool will create)

Thats a bit sad, but that is the current status.
We also share that faith and for the moment turned off our pools.

We think about enabling them next year, but we we’re not able to attract enough people to even mint one block. It’s a tough game and at the moment are the costs higher than the revenue for small and new pools, without big social media reach.

Yeah, sorry to hear this :frowning:

If you choose your vps well, you can keep you costs below 200usd p.a.
