Survey: Do you plan on buying Traxia during ICO?

Man, that’s a tough one…since I have never used Jaxx…I have no idea how to do it…BUT there has to be a Youtube tutorial…
Found something:

Since I gave Traxia a JAXX ETH address to send the tokens to I still have to export my private keys of JAXX over to MEW because JAXX won’t display the token for me to send to MEW. Was wondering if I can export my private keys from JAXX to MEW now, getting that part over with?

I replied to the wrong thread…see my previous post…I guess you could do it now, or wait until the TMT token sale ends…since they will not send them until then…

Yeah I have those instructions printed out. I’m mostly confident in doing that but I was wondering if I can do that now even before the Traxia gets deposited into JAXX. It’s just an address that will get exported to MEW I assume so it should be fine right?

You should be fine, it should not be an issue (assuming all the steps are done correctly)…I know, this things can be nerve wracking…I was really apprehensive when I was setting up my Ledger nano S…now I cannot do without it…LOL…I use it with ETC, ETH, Erc20 tokens, Stellar (XLM) and waiting for Cardano

Do I need to create a new wallet first on MyEtherWallet website? This is starting to confuse me ugh

From the steps:
Step One: Click on the MENU button of your JAXX wallet > Click Tools > Click Display Private Keys. You can cross-reference your addresses with the blockchain transaction to identify which address you will need to import to myEtherWallet.

Step Two: Once you are in MyEtherWallet, click the ‘Mnemonic Phrase’ link under the ‘Jaxx/Metamask?’ Getting Started link.

Step Three: Select ‘Private key’ and enter the private key to the address you got from your Jaxx wallet.

It looks like you actually need to have an Ether wallet account and “import” your Jaxx into it…but do not quote me on that…creating an account in MEW is easy…just also make sure you copy correctly whatever seed code words you may get…remember…GOOGLE and YOUTUBE are your best friends !!

Ok thanks I’ll give it a try.

I just noticed this: https://kb.myetherwallet.com/migration/moving-from-jaxx-to-myetherwallet.html

That looks like the easiest approach !..

I did go to MEW and didn’t create a new wallet, instead I hit mnemonic phrase and put in my JAXX 12 word phrase which then allowed me to unlock the wallet and it took a couple seconds and the 1st of 5 ETH addresses listed was my JAXX ETH address. I choose that one. So I’m thinking this worked fine. Now when I get the Ledger Nano S I will do the initial setup etc and proceed from there. I’m researching this now lol

Great !..your next step (when you get the Ledger nano S)…will be to set it up (it will give you 5 new addresses, if I remember correctly)…then move your TMT to one of those in the Ledger…and done…your ledger eventually will hold ADA too…I really like cold storage, like it better than paper wallets…:grinning:

Yeah I’ve been reading up on that Ledger Nano S. Looks pretty good! Once I get it filled :crossed_fingers: I will finally be calm and collective lol

When I move the TMT to one of those addresses in the ledger, will the gas fee get taken out automatically when the transfer happens or do I need to have some ETH?

As long as you are moving ERC20 tokens…you will always need some ETH…

Basically what I’m asking is do I need to purchase more ETH as I have zero amount right now or will the blockchain mining automatically take a portion of my ETH to use on the gas price? Kinda like how Binance will do trading fees…

Usually a few dollars worth of ETH will do…the ETH will need to be in your sending wallet (Jaxx?)…in order to cover the transaction fees to get to your Ledger nano s wallet…once that is done, you can then move the ETH from your Jaxx to your Ledger nano s also

I was informed once the TMT gets filled in my JAXX wallet that I have to then go from JAXX to MEW 1st then from MEW over to the Ledger Nano S.

Not sure if you’re thinking of me, but I only suggested MEW as a wallet that handles erc20 correctly, I didn’t mean to say you can’t use another wallet.

Oh ok so I could actually export my Jaxx private key into the Ledger Nano S without using MEW?
