Randy, Ambassador:
Randy has recently joined the ranks of Cardano Ambassadors. Some of you may already know him through his contributions to the Indonesian Hub.
Ready? Let’s Dive Right In!
1) Tell us a little about yourself. What is your background?
My name is Randy. I joined the Cardano ecosystem in 2021. I came from Coinstore.com, a top 20 crypto exchange, and things changed when I saw the Voltaire era.
I took progressive steps by creating an Indonesian Hub together with the existing Cardano community, and by laying the foundation for an Indonesian Town Hall, a neutral space where every Cardano project and external chain could come together and engage.
2) How did you get interested and involved with Blockchain/Crypto?
Governance is the model I am most interested in. My international relations degree led me to explore this space and understand how a decentralized ecosystem can offer a wide spectrum of community-driven participation.
I am not focused on price action, but I do see how Cardano builds its infrastructure while also considering the people involved. Code paves the way, governance shows the direction.
3) Why Cardano?
Cardano has shown fair value in terms of price action, while also supporting a DAO model backed by several governance actors such as DReps, SPOs, CC, and ADA holders. This structure is perhaps modest, yet challenging for me.
People have said this chain is a ghost chain, but I see Cardano as a foundational chain, one that is carefully taking steps and moving forward, learning from its mistakes, and not becoming mass-market too early, as developing countries may not be able to adopt blockchain in general directly.
4) How are you contributing to the Cardano Ecosystem as an Ambassador?
There have been several support systems that have helped me reach this point as an Ambassador. I became an Intersect Delegate for Indonesia during the Constitutional Convention and quickly joined the workshop series, as I found the process to be both actionable and engaging.
Over time, I followed a similar pattern, contributing through articles as my primary output and staying aligned with the principles of Cardano governance by participating in the Civics Committee.
There is now a strong and growing body of governance-related information available, and I believe there is an opportunity for individuals to take ownership of specific topics within the Cardano Forum to help organize and maintain this knowledge more effectively.
5) What is your future vision for the Cardano Ecosystem?
Widely spoken, with Ambassadors around the world, there could be more distinct actions from the hubs themselves, including a potentially supervised role toward enterprise and even governance actors.
There is also the idea of a platform that could integrate all Ambassadors and their interactions with the community, while setting up metrics to support open source contributions, developer experience, and governance as well.
I see this because Ambassadors are not focused on price action; therefore, collaborative aspects, business development, and project onboarding into Cardano native still lack a clear coordinating function.
All hubs could potentially integrate with SPOs, or even have their own liquidity, enabling more voting participation and providing local liquidity toward Cardano-native projects and bridge solutions.
6 ) What is your personal message to the Cardano community?
Our underlying asset can be built together from the very first step of Cardano governance. Not everyone has the chance to do Initial public offering, but with Cardano, we have one.
