Byron to Shelly

I still have ADA in a Byron wallet have got Daedalus Flight and imported my secret file into the wallet and synced. Have connected my Ledger to Daedalus Flight and now have a second new 0 balance wallet. So if I send from old Byron to Ledger do they become Shelly. Or do you have to make a new Shelly wallet send to that and then to the Ledger connected wallet?
