I have been using the Daedalus wallet since November and now it’s just stopped.
I click on the app/link and absolutely nothing happens, I don’t know what to do I’m puzzled.
I have tried contacting support but they never get back to me.
Has this happened to anyone else if so what can I Do??
Thanks
I had issue as well. I closed Daedalus… then in Activity Monitor (MAC utility)… I searched for Cardano-node… there were few running in my case… I killed all of them… then relaunched wallet and it started working… but it took a while to start
Try this… it might help.

I agree with @NH-2017. But also kill cardano-launcher. Then wait 2 or 3 hours or more before relaunching. I don’t know why but if I try to launch back to back it doesn’t work. But waiting seems to work. I launch pretty much every day, once a day, to allow the blockchain to catch up and have no problems using the wallet like this.

Hi @Jono_987tuta.io Jon - did the tips above solve your issue?
Hey buddy thanks for your advice.
My Daedalus wallet doesn’t even open I click and nothing happens. BUT I have noticed another app (TOR) is doing the same thing
I have been to the disk utility and typed in Cardano node but there was nothing there.
Don’t use the disk utility, use the Activity Monitor. There you will find all of the running processes. Kill all that say “Cardano”

Sorry it was Activity Monitor.
BUT Progress. I have right clicked the wallet and
Contents > MAC OS > Frontend. Now it’s opened but just saying Connecting to Network

I see you have successfully made it to “connecting to network” hell. A lot of people are having problem at this point and there is a lot of threads and info to help with that here. It is not something specific to the mac. Can you check your firewall to make sure “cardano node” is not being blocked? Some people have had success by using a vpn, I don’t know why. I use a vpn by default and have not had connection issues. You may need to port forward the port 8090 on your router. Also you can send those logs to IOHK via support ticket and that may help them find a fix quicker.
I have looked on my Mac and nowhere do i have Cardano Node.
I have tried with my VPN but nothing changes, i donr know how to port 8090 on my router ( not yet anyways)
Just curious. Have you installed Daedalus on your mac? I mean does the app reside in the applications directory and the shortcut available in the app launcher window (not sure what you call it) along with all of your other installed apps?
Yep the app is there when i click Launchpad
when you launch from the launchpad you should get “cardano-launcher” and “cardano-node” processes running, you can see these on the activity monitor. “Cardano-node” needs to be able to get through the firewall and connect to the internet. Not sure if that is helpful but maybe it is.
Now its opening but just staying Connecting to network…
I’ve had this happen after updates a few times. For whatever reason it takes a few more minutes after update says it has finished.
