THis problem is obviously wide spread. Time for the admin and tech people to make this a priority. These issues do not give confidence to the cardano brand.

I am told that most of the known networking issues are fixed in the next release.
However, running a full node on all machines is an impossible task. On the help desk tour, people with laptops with hard disks couldn’t keep up with the blockchain. Some people may have unrealistic expectations about their machines abilities.
Also, some people are on networks that block certain traffic. There have been people who couldn’t work with the vpn on and people who had to turn on their vpn to work. And others have computers that have firewall issues or no open ports for communication.
In short, even after the next release, some subset of users will still have issues that will be unsolvable on the tech side by the Daedalus team, as the issues will be user specific issues.
When the Cardano light-wallet is complete, then those users will be much happier.

Hello, also having issues here.
Running win 7 64 bit. Had installed daedalus however it wouldnt connect. I decided to uninstall and start again and now I cant install at all - please see the following error :
Any help would be appreciated.

I believe a process is still running and you can kill it by restarting the computer.

I had tried multiple restarts trying to get the first install to connect. Just restarted now and installed again and we are now up and running.

I am new to ADA - started investing this week. I have the Daedalus wallet and I have some questions related to it. First of all, can I have the same wallet accessed from more than one machine? If so, how do I set it up? Secondly, what happens if the PC I am using crashes? Can my ADA wallet be recovered?
Hi i have same problem and i send all my ada on wallet and impossible to reconnect ! A nightmare . Why offer a wallet if it not ready to use properly

I would estimate 5% have had the connection issue. That should decrease with the new update. I am sorry you are still having issues. After reading the faq, creating an admin user on windows works for some. You should contact us via the website
Hello finally my wallet connect. People should wait long time to access at wallet i send back ada to exchange and wait an major update. People should let them computer when it said connecting network. Thanks
Я завел кошелек daedalus для проверки положил 4 ada - они поступили (3 ada), потом решил установить Daedalus на компьютер который редко включаю, сделал там восстановление.
Решил еще раз проверить отправил 10 ada - и они не поступили (9 ada). Транзакция прошла 3 ada: 440f618c2191ff561db3d6a65e02d014bec5d38cd9797af6d3a1ce716f2e78e0. Транзакция прошла но средства на кошелек не поступили 9 ada: a5a837c146648a48f4ac9bebc89e24b2d6a38ce5ef511aada4670daa5eee44ba.
Почему? Кто-нибудь знает? Получается переведя большие средства на daedalus можно всё потерять? или я что-то не так сделал?
@io_jeremy, can the wallet be updated after already installed or will the .exe need to be uninstalled and then reinstalled with the new version/update?
I am also “stuck” on ‘Connecting to Network’. I tried all procedures on FAQs but nothing works. Now i have about 6 hours on the same screen and still don’t have access to my ADAs.
Cardano is fantastic, but Daedalus is a big problem to me.
Do i have to wait for the next version to access my wallet?
Question, do I have to redeem/get certificate to activate my wallet? I sent from Bittrex 2 hours ago and have not received the transfer so I am guessing I overlooked something.

You don’t need to redeem or get a certificate. I don’t think you overlooked anything. Sometimes there seems to be network or exchange traffic that makes some transfers slower than others.
You will see your ADA in your wallet eventually. On Bittrex, in you Wallets you should see a pending withdrawal which is good. Eventually the pending will go away and then your ADA will transfer to your Daedalus wallet.
Have you gotten your transfer to your wallet yet?

Would that latest update be “daedalus-win64-1.0.3769.0-installer”?
I too was hopefull that this latest update would fix known issues, I sadly can only report this version is even worse on Win10. To be more exact, it is running faults, bugs and issues right from initial boot for installation, Runtime, DLL issues etc.
At least with the previous version I could actually install it - yet it never rose to 100%.
I really have to echo the sentiments of some here, and that is Cardano is a great concept, but if the basics such as a wallet installation for security of owners of ADA is just not important for IOHK, then perhaps they should take a step back and allow others to take care of this aspect.
The essential question I feel is this: Why are we forced to use one wallet, and one that clearly has to many issues for any consumer trust.
Unfortunately, as intelligent as the creators and engineers clearly are, they seem to be missing the point in the basics regarding product faith and marketing. I for one will not be risking funds in ADA when I can invest much easier and with greater mobility and liquidity in other currencies n the market, which is really disappointing from my position.

The software is only built for certain machines with certain specs. If you did not send your problem with all info to support, it is difficult to know if your problem is specific to you. Objectively, support tickets went down after the last release and many people with connection issues reported fixing their issue.
I have the same problem as many in this chat. I start DAEDALUS and it is in the state Connecting to network … I’m using version 1.0.3769, the program is installed on Windows 7. I started 2 days ago, and the status does not change - Connecting to network … What do I have to do?
