Hey Admins! New Users for Meme Contest

Hey, looks like many new users that are trying to enter the meme contest are struggling with the forum posting rules… I was wondering if there is anything that could be done to free up these users to enter the contest while preserving the rules?

Hey Josh!

In what way are they restricted?
Any new users struggling to enter the MEME contest PM me @SeanAlimov and I’ll loosen up the restrictions so you can participate.

Best, Sean

Hi @Josh_Munday Thank you for flagging this.
According to our trust level setting, the minimum trust to post images is set to trust level 0: new users. Can you specify the difficulties you are undergoing?

Many thanks!

Hey sorry guys, this is strange!
Had a guy In the telegram channel saying that he kept getting restricted for posting, not sure if this was due to the two links or maybe something else! Andy had to keep unrestricting him so he could post!

If I come across any specific details I’ll let you both know! I guess since this post things have been running smoothly, so I must have been mistaken on saying that it was new users that was having the problem, and might have been down to that individual!

Thanks again both!

For any new users trying to post memes and facing issues, it i because you are at Trust Level 0 and therefore cannot add attachments or post more than 1 image. This is one way that helps us deal with spam and scammers.

BUT good news is that reaching Trust Level 1 is very very easy.

Get to trust level 1 by…

  • Entering at least 5 topics
  • Reading at least 30 posts
  • Spend a total of 10 minutes reading posts

(Note: Topics are threads, and reading 30 posts includes original thread posts as well as comments. So as long as you read at least 5 threads, you can be on your way with sharing all the Cardano memes you’ve created! )

Thanks for this @maki.mukai I think this must have been the issue that some users were running into! Will save this for future reference! :+1:
