We need a bit more context. What app are you using? What transaction did you try?
It looks like you have to update your Cardano app on your Ledger device.
I used Adalite…i can’t claim my rewards. I have Ledger Nano S.
I have not checked the ledger long time.
Is it possible to lose assets through the process of updating?
No. But did you update the Ledger firmware and after that the Cardano app?
I have done nothing yet. What should i do chronologically?
- make sure you still have your seedphrase from your Ledger device (just in case)
- open Ledger Live and connect your Ledger device to your computer
- check if theres a firmware update for your Ledger device
- check if theres an update for the Cardano app on your Ledger device
- try to withdraw your rewards again
if i do firware update with my assets on my ledger i can’t lose my assets?
I have my seedfrase.
Usually a firmware upgrade isnt abig of an issue but it already happened that a firmware update causes some issues and thats the reason its important to have the seedphrase ready. With the seedphrase it doesnt really matter what happens with the device. Worst case you just buy a new Ledger device and use your seedphrase to restore your keys/funds.
