Is Passphrase option supported on Daedalus?

I have a Ledger Nano X and have set the Passphrase (“advanced feature” that adds a “25th word” to the 24 recovery phrases to the Ledger backup) that is supported in the Ledger device. If I try to pair another Daedalus via the Passphrase enabled pin, it does not add a new wallet but just reverts me back to the existing Daedalus wallet that I have previously paired with the same Ledger Nano X but accessed through the default pin without Passphrase enabled. Am I doing something wrong or is this feature not supported? *I’ve verified that other crypto wallets such as BTC and LTC accessed via passphrase enabled pin and non enabled default pin works in Ledger Live.

Welcome to the forum @xmicroby,
yes it is supported but this feature is considered as “hidden wallet”. So you would have to delete the first wallet that is paired to Ledger. Then go into your wallet with the 25th word and pair this with Daedalus.

Thanks for providing me with a clear solution! Now I know that it’s not an error of some sort. I think Daedalus should have a function where you have the option to show or not show the “hidden wallet” from Ledger just like Ledger Live.

Do you have any tips on how I should go about moving funds from the default Ledger Wallet to the hidden one with the 25th word if I need to erase the first one?

There are several options for that, but I’d say just use https://adalite.io with your hidden wallet. It leaves no traces behind and you can keep your main wallet paired with Daedalus.

I also have my Ledger set up with a passphrase. I only use the “set temporary passphrase” method, not via “attach to PIN”. My two wallets are set up the ‘same’ seed phrase and have 2 wallets:
(1) the wallet without the passphrase
(2) the wallet with the passphrase

I don’t have any Cardano tokens in the hidden wallet yet, but want to put all of my ADA in the hidden wallet first, then stake it via Daedalus.

I don’t see a way to confirm it because the Ledger shows me the same Cardano public key number to export with AND without the passphrase entered. How do I verify I’m connecting to the correct public key (or wallet address) before pairing to it in Daedalus?

Shouldn’t there be a different Cardano public key (address) for each Cardano wallet?

How can I tell which wallet I am in?

Should be 2 public keys ( one per wallet) … now I understand that the switch between the wallets should be made from ledger … if u disable the passphrase then u should restore the unhide wallet and if u will set the passphrase on ledger u should restore the hiden wallet

but test with 2-3 ADA before
