For things like meetup branding you really need to liaise with the right people. Official support for meetups will be starting again quite soon I believe, not sure exactly who is responsible though, @IOHK_Jane can you help?

I completely agree. “The Tipping Point” by Malcome Gladwell points out that social trends require three fundamental forces to grow, much like how fire needs fuel, oxygen and heat to grow.
The 3 ingredients are: “Mavens” - who are the Information specialist, “Salespeople” - who are the convincers, and “Connectors” - people who connect the right people.
I would suggest that folks who are interested in getting serious about the blockchain revolution, and about marketing Cardano specifically, read “The Tipping Point.”
We are at one of the biggest, most important tipping points in the history of humanity RIGHT NOW.

Yes it will be near the Salt Lake area in the Orem/Provo area, friends of mine operate a Restaurant there and I would like to hold it there, I am waiting for the meetup site to get back to me, it would be so very good to have some another organizer there, I chose March so that I had plenty of time to organize it, surely gives me plenty of time to invite some participants.
I am not opposed to something like you are suggesting, but I personally do not want to brand a meetup and have it set on one direction other than socializing and networking and education, I will be inviting other blockchain enthusiasts and they may not share the same ideals as any of us but will surely have some questions and would be welcome to participate in the conversations surrounding Cardano.

Is anything happening with the Meetups? Is anything being done to promote the startup of Meetups? Is there any discussion about the direction the Meetups should take? Is there any strategy being designed? I feel Meetup groups could form a good community base from which public adoption could spread.
If there’s no organization or promotion this potential will not be realized.
Yes, community managers are working on this.

Things have not yet settled down following the CF troubles, I would not know who to direct you towards, but rest assured things are happening and as soon as meetup support has been organised we will be informed here in the forum.
