You have some profound observations.
On BTC side I think it has played its role. POW isn’t sustainable. What’s more important, POS is more efficient, faster while providing the same cryptographic properties. It is also game theoretically more aligned (ie no need for miners that may have divergent views).
I can’t say much about the supply side but the demand side of crypto has suffered from ad censorship and increasing pressure from banks (ie try using your bank/credit card to buy crypto and you will see how difficult it is).
Couple that with a barrage of freaked incumbents that just can’t shake the feeling their businesses won’t be able to compete with crypto. It’s like they are looking at a checkmate, but want to everyone to believe that their opponent is not a chess player.

Greater fool theory might added in timeline for crypto bubble and the one will emerge a victor will be top not saying ripple but i hope Cardano will.
