Ambassador Stories, Journal #22: Fabian & Piero

Welcome to the 22nd journal of the “Ambassador Stories” series! :star_struck::tada:

New stories will be shared with you, whenever new ambassadors join our ranks and provide their stories.
You’ll be able to enjoy the various, unique stories of our Cardano Community Ambassadors: what motivated, and still motivates them, to be part of this amazing and wonderful community?

The Cardano Community Team would also like to thank the Ambassadors for all their continued efforts and participation in sharing their stories with us. :writing_hand:

Please read all about Fabian (@Zyroxa) & Piero (@lordwotton) down below! :open_book:

Part 1: Fabian, Ambassador Translator:

Fabian recently joined the Ambassador ranks as a German Translator. Having been active on the forum, diligently translating our forum posts to German, it was high time for us to recognize his efforts and welcome him to the Ambassador group! We are looking forward to seeing and reading more translated content from the coming months. Thanks for all that you do!

(Fabian looking sharp, ready to translate!)

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What is your background?

I’m 27 Years old and working as an IT-specialist in the support and consulting areas. I live in Switzerland, in Bern, in a small village. My main interests are cryptocurrencies, motorbikes and I really love to travel.

2) How did you get interested and involved with Blockchain/Crypto?

I had my first contact with Bitcoin in the year of 2014 when I made a few bucks with trading, but I didn’t understand the whole concept of it just yet. In the year of 2017 I started to read and get interested in the whole concept of blockchain. That’s when I got hooked…

3) Why Cardano?

I really fell in love with Cardano when I first saw the legendary whiteboard video from Charles Hoskinson. I also love the fact that we are focusing on supporting people which may have a lower living standard than the average person in the USA or in Europe.

4) How are you contributing to the Cardano Ecosystem as an Ambassador?

I’m translating articles, blogs and newsletter to German, with great joy!

5) What is your future vision for the Cardano Ecosystem?

I really hope that we can change the whole system as we have it right now, because it’s so unfair to the majority of people.

6 ) What is your personal message to the Cardano community?

Try to educate as many other people as you can! Education is the key to success and adoption!

Don’t forget to like, follow, share Fabian’s hard work! He can be followed on the Cardano Forum.

Part 2: Piero (@lordwotton), Ambassador Translator:

Piero is just like Fabian an Ambassador Translator, but not for the German speakers. Piero focuses on translating useful content for the Italian Cardano community and has been doing so very actively over the course of several months. The speed at which he provides translations is rivaling our own official translation services! Great job and glad to have you with us, Piero! Looking forward to seeing more content getting translated to help educate the global community that is Cardano!

(Piero enjoying the sun while building bridges with Cardano community members! :sunglasses:)

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What is your background?

My name is Piero Zanetti and I live in Italy. I studied international relationships and political sciences at college but I left before the end, to start my career in a multinational company as a building materials seller. Since then I’ve worked for the biggest companies in my sector, but then I realized this wasn’t the life I wanted, so I changed it! Currently I’m a blockchain investor and part time photographer. I don’t have any experience or background working in IT, but I have played around with computers since the Commodore 64 times, passing from Amiga 500 to the first Pentium cpu! The ITN also gave me the opportunity to learn Linux. I’m loving and learning new system administration skills. I love cats, history, philosophy and traveling! I’m a fan of South-America, where I lived for a short time (in Honduras and Mexico).

2) How did you get interested and involved with Blockchain/Crypto?

I got involved in 2017, before the last crazy bull market, since then I dove deeper and more in depth, to finally arrive at the Cardano project!

3) Why Cardano?

Since I started my journey in the crypto world I realized that the biggest part of the cryptos out there are doomed to disappear at some point. So I always looked for something more, something better! Finally in 2017 I saw Cardano and decided it was something deserving of my investment and attention. I continued to add to my bags until summer 2019 when finally I saw a youtube video from Charles Hoskinson and, from that moment when I listened to his vision and the philosophy behind Cardano, I decided that this is the project I want to get more involved with and support!

4) How are you contributing to the Cardano Ecosystem as an Ambassador?

I started playing with Jormungandr (ITN node) from the early versions (v0.5.6) and I started helping other operators in the channels on Telegram. Then I noticed that there wasn’t any content translated in Italian, and so I decided to contribute as a translator. I’m still active in the Telegram channels and I also run my own stake pools.

5) What is your future vision for the Cardano Ecosystem?

I think that Cardano will be the first blockchain and ecosystem that’s born and ready for global adoption. It has the right philosophy to last, succeed and truly be a gift for everyone. The road it’s still long but I’m confident we can make it if we keep ourself true to our visions.

6 ) What is your personal message to the Cardano community?

We have the best community in the crypto sphere and we must be really proud of that! I’d like to say thanks to everyone in this community that helped me grow my skills and where I met the most talented and smart people I can think of. As Charles says, our best days are still ahead of us!

Don’t forget to like, follow, share Piero’s hard work! He can be followed on the Cardano Forum and via his Twitter!
