Cardano Progress Update for March by Emurgo’s Sebastien

Cardano Foundation participates in the INATBA Inauguration
Last week, Cardano Foundation participated in the official inauguration of the European Commission’s International Association of Trusted Blockchain Application (INATBA) as a founding member. As a member, the Foundation will participate in constructive dialogue with enterprises, policy makers, standard-setting bodies and regulators to develop standards and guidelines for the development and adoption of blockchain and other distributed ledger technology.
How to use Ledger with Yoroi
Cardano’s ada was recently integrated with Ledger, a leader in security and hardware wallet solutions for cryptocurrencies. If you missed the announcement, read more here. The integration is provided through Yoroi, the light-client wallet developed by Emurgo. Follow their tutorial to set up your Cardano assets with your Ledger device!
Cardano Tangem Cards
Tangem is a new smart card technology that allows users to store and carry cryptocurrencies on physical plastic cards with a chip and NFC antenna inside. It was developed based on technology from Samsung and Arm (SoftBank), with the security and correctness audited by the Kudelski Group, a listed Swiss security company. Cardano Foundation recently announced that they will be presenting a Cardano-branded Tangem card to every attendee at the IOHK Summit and to our global community if you join us for the Summit keynote speech!
Updates from the IOHK Summit
The Cardano community team will be at the upcoming IOHK Summit in sunny Miami and we’re excited to meet all of you who are attending! For those of you who can’t make it, no fret! IOHK’s Haskell Course in Ethiopia
IOHK recently finished teaching a Haskell programming course in Ethiopia, Africa. The program was taught by Lars Brünjes, director of education, Polina Vinogradova, formal methods expert and Philip Wadler, senior research fellow of IOHK. This course was in conjunction with the memorandum of understanding (MOU) which IOHK signed with the Ethiopian government last May to train and hire junior software developers. Lars and Polina have both written a blog post of their experiences and insight from teaching the course.
