Does This Accurately Symbolize Cardano?

Agreed. We make it very clear that this is a peaceful revolution. “Adarchy” is a word coined to reflect our “Order Without Rulers” slogan.

Yes. “Adarchy” is the blockchain/technological route this change of system is taking.

Yes, let’s remember this.

Slightly surprised this hasn’t already been mentioned:

Wow! Great find.

To me this shows that there are like-minded (to The Evolution) people out there. The sentiment is out there; now to foster it and use it to point people in the direction of ADA.

Yes, they are out there. They started Monero.
I just don’t think that crypto-anarchism overlaps to 100% or even to 50% with Cardanos vision.

Depends I guess, but if i remember correctly they do want people to have the option to complete private transactions between individuals (read opting out of sending any metadata). Would be nice to see Monero enthusiasts take an interest in Cardano.

I align 49% with the Crypto-anarchism ideology. I don’t feel the need to hide anything.

The A with the lines through seems quite similar to the “app coins” logo. To answer your question, IMO the anarchy theme does not symbolize Cardano and is not one that will help mass adoption.

I understand. Adarchy is a coined word that does not mean what people think anarchy is. Even anarchy isn’t what people think anarchy is. The movement makes this very clear. “Adarchy” is it’s own thing.

You are right, that would be great. As much privacy as possible, as little regulation as possible, depending on the purpose of the transaction, that’s how Cardano can be highly valueable in many different fields.

I think that hiding as much information as possible should be important to everyone. In Germany we had experienced what can happen if everyone says “I have nothing to hide”. Sliding down into a failed democracy with a authoritarian government, this leads into self-censorship and facilitates dictatorship. And it can not only happen in Germany, accumulation of power and suppression of the people is inherent in mankind. Therefore my high hopes in Cardano are not to overthrow the financial system but to strengthen democracy and to help willing governments to improve their behaviour for the good of their people. And unwilling governments will see their neighbours prospering. At least that’s my dream…

I am not too familiar with Anarchy however I studied graphic design at college years ago. We had a semester dedicated to Anarchy and what comes to mind is punk rock and the sex pistols, the “Andy Reid” campaign. Amazing art work. Probably nothing like others in different countries.

I just think there’s a negative connotation to anarchy. Even if it’s “Adarchy” the symbol basically says Anarchy with the A. Regardless if people know the real meaning of anarchy or not, I feel the majority associate anarchy to a state of disorder and going against authority with a fight. Also the joker in batman comes to mind “introduce a little anarchy” as he continues to blow everything up.

I feel like it’s something that you could probably pitch to the yellow vests in France right now.

What do you think people associate to Anarchy?

This is key to success. As a community we will never be successful if the goal is to overthrow. There is just too many lives and money at stake in current financial system. Overthrowing it is like shooting yourself in the foot.

For the few of us (who have nothing to lose) it may be an acceptable thing, but for the majority this is a nonstarter.

The goal should be to produce a better system and by extension push the current system to respect individual freedom and reduce biases stemming from information asymmetry. They will be forced to change, because if not they will become irrelevant.

So we are not moving into the binary world where you have either of the two systems but the one where crypto will help steer the current system (with all the wealth and pensions and income tied in it) into a robust and transparent system that respects individual freedoms.

Just by giving the choice back to the individual to really own his assets, crypto already revolutionized this space.

Think about it: you don’t need institutions to hold, spend and move your assets.

If you are one of these institutions, you’d be terrified as future has no space for you. You have to build something of value or perish… and as more people become aware of crypto the more the current system will be under pressure.

Laws will change (like in WYOMING) and new economic landscape will emerge. Old players will evolve or die out.

This is how we could change things—by building the awareness about the alternative system that architecturally aligns itself better with our core beliefs/basic economic freedoms than anything we have had so far.

It’s my position that those in real power - central banks - will simultaneously try to squash crypto and manipulate it, mold it, into something they can control.

There are some very sick people at the top. These people will not go down without a fight.

Truth prevails.

Zenman, first I commend you on your energy and effort. And while I have strong feelings–in my strong opinion–I don’t or hope not to come across as contemptuous and belittling of you. I mean… you have passion and are doing more than I am so I give you credit. Plus, I have to be cognizant of that fact the possibility exists that I am totally wrong and the future will prove me so. I don’t think so of course, otherwise I would not hold the opinion I do.

But I come from a specific place in a specific time. That at least in some part shapes the way in which I see things. Eh… other aspects comes from reading this or that from cultures foreign to mine. I’m no scholar but reading about world’s outside one’s own is not the without some value.

I think your ambition to market ADA to larger masses of young adults and teens, and in such a way as to appeal to them culturally as something that is cool and hip is awesome and worth while.

But (it’s my OPINION) you should consider really tempering the messaging or impression of anarchy and social unrest. I think a message of libertarianism if you can evoke a romantic idea of increased freedom, security, social democratization, health and well being but all tied to a respect for order and traditions among various people, this I think wins in the long distant run as opposed to a short sprint.

Mainstream media and Hollywood have their own agenda. And it’s my view both try to social engineer a break down in families, traditions, and anything that actually protects individuals from the claws of oligarchs and two party dictatorship misconstrued as “democracy.” I’m speaking her more parochially on the world stage of the USA.

No greater lesson to be seen–if one wishes to open their eyes and unplug their ears–than the state of ethnic Black-America post 1960s. A left wing, thuggish, “anarchy” of blacks in the North (a minority among them I mean) that torched their own neighborhood shop districts. From Milwaukee to Detroit to Camden. It was not the KKK or white cops or bankers that torched–in social unrest–the very economic centers of black neighborhoods. It was in fact the hoodlum class and supported by the left wing likes of the modern day “Black Lives Matter.”

It used to be prison was the white man’s dilemma, black children the best behaved in the country, with around 80% of black children born to married black parents. All of that is the entire reverse now.

But white American youth are now romanticizing the stability and order that existed in the USA and white homes prior to the 1960s and Baby Boomers. I say this because I think you are misreading the trajectory of social rebellion. Look on Youtube at the “Black Pill” videos, young whites from Gen X on down are scathing at Hollywood and instability the Baby Boomers “rebellion” brought in.

Even in Brazil a right wing President has been elected. That’s because when left wing fails to provide SECURITY for citizens, when anarchy sets in and unscrupulous gangs and oligarchs run wild over people, a reaction will occur to bring some equilibrium.

The Brazilian favelas–like all slums in Latin America–originate as squatter camps, with no city planning, and originally with no government services. The people in those slums later demand the government bring services. In many Brazilian favelas the police never even had physical police stations, so, military cops would execute lightening raids into the favela to execute and capture some violent gang leaders, then they would just as quickly leave back out the favelas. Duing President Lula’s time in office the cops in Rio’s favelas began slowly retaking favelas and placing physical police stations. I mean… I’m no Albert Einstein but apparently these people with doctoral degrees in Rio running the city thought that was rocket science. Overly optimistic people are as much a destructive force to civilizations as serial killers. They rip down all gates and security doors and allow all wolves to enter and prey upon the masses.

Within Black-America there is a growing backlash to left wing inspired chaos that has led to ruin upon one home and community to the next.

Anarchy ends in Brazilian gangs telling favela residents what times of a 24 hour period they can enter and leave their favela, it ends in those violent gangs being the judge and jury in their communities, tossing tires around a resident they convicted in one of their trials and setting him on fire. Anarchy ends in Detroit’s infamous “Devil’s Night” which attracted people from across the country to converge on Detroit and literally set houses on fire.

With the anarchy the massive opioid epidemic has caused in white American homes–now having killed more Americans than the total death toll for Americans in the Vietnam War–the concept of social break down is probably going to be less appealing to more and more young whites. Albeit, the idea will appeal to some, where stability is still a common experience for them. It’s easy in the USA and in a well-to-do suburb to romanticize social break down when you get up every morning and the electricity always works when you flick the light switch (not so in some cities of the developing countries) and when you walk out of your car and have a great sense of security even in the black of night because armed robbers and forcible rapes are such a rarity.

The ruins of Detroit are anarchy.

I think evoking a more romantic idea of libertarians connected to style, class, freedom, prosperity, and a sense of safety and order is better and would appeal to a broader audience. Like the image of the annual “All Black Affair” in Milwaukee as opposed to riots, and fires be it in Paris or Fergunson. But that is just my opinion.

The Evolution is a pacifist movement. We are branding a non-violent way to resist everything wrong with the financial system.

The website will make this clear.

wow, @Zenman nail on the head… i thought i was the only one… since this now apparently seems to be a wider spread sentiment, whats being done about it?

i feel the problem started form the level of “community involvement” with which it was conceived and executed from the heavens up above. others are things like a not well enough defined audience/purpose.

trying to be joe rogen the sequel is not the way to go, ironically seeing how the idea/project in it’s technical execution took a first principles approach to be truly unique.

I’m not getting this. Elaborate.

Again, this is pretty vague? Being done about what?

read the response in context of what it’s replying to…

I have already solved this problem for people who are either short on time, or have little attention span for a 1 hour podcast, by asking a volunteer to create a mini-clip series with short takes from the podcast called “Cardano Clips”.

Here is the channel link:

Once my volunteer has more free time he will break up more content into:
Title = the question
Video = the answer

Now this post is way off topic from the original thread, but you got your answer.
