Hi Community,
I have ideas for projects that would be cool / marketable for Cardano which I think would bring value. But, alas, I do not have the technical background / experience to bring these to life. Any advice on a forum that would be a think tank or anyone interested in discussing ideas to flesh them out?

Best way forward would be to discuss your ideas. Don’t keep your ideas to yourself, because everything worthwhile is done in teams and so your priority should be to find likeminded people to collaborate with you. Communicate to others what skills you bring to the table and team up with those that have technical expertise.

This forum is a good starting place, but you may also want to check out project catalyst on ideascale
(there is also a pretty active reddit community, along with telegram and other social media channels)
Yes, I see this as a stumbling block for Cardano. We Have the funds but unless a developer comes to us with cap in hand and a great idea nothing is achieved.
Non technical people with great ideas cant really contribute unless they create a project team themselves and we aren’t all that capable (although the ideas have merit). It would be better if the community could discuss and create its own project desires and then a competent team push the agenda thru.
I think a public think tank needs to be developed to clarify the community desires (idea scale may be adequate) and more importantly a execution team should be funded to collate, manage and action the community requested projects create fund proposals on behalf if the wider community and hold up a large carrot to the appropriate developers and companies. (Maybe this is where the Cardano Foundation should come in)
If the community wanted a particular feature or project but no developers came forward with a proposal it wouldn’t get done.
Also larger projects might require multiple rounds of funding for research then prototyping then final production. A dedicated team to manage this and effectively communicate with the community is required.
I agree, but I think this is basically what is planned for Catalyst. There is a path for random ideas to become funded and developed.
@Chihuahua Do you think one of your ideas can be further developed into a project where the technical bits can be contracted out to some service provider?

In order to participate in one of the Catalyst funds it is not required that the deliverable be a finished product. It could as well be a design spec.

Hi im new around here and I’m in the same boat.
I have active mindthatwont stop so I’m always thinking of new things.
I have a few ideas im my mind they are good but maybe not to others.
Im just after somewhere or some people I can bounce ideas and different things off.
My 1st 1would be a site to pitch ideas and where people can back that idea like a few sites thats already out but this site would just be for crypto plans and ideas.
Another 1 I had while out driving the other day and got fed up of my music, was a site for story telling also can help authors get out there and the people who post storys could get tips could offer limited editions, could have kids story’s, horror, older people telling there storys loads off categories to work with.
Just a few i have loads to go still, any thoughts if they are silly I can just think off more.
Would love to chat about an idea if you have the time at some point.
