Yes, so we could copy and check out all of them. That my help to find some details.
P.S. Did you perform full Daedalus reinstallation (with full removal)?
UPD:
Ok, I see that you did. Sorry, missed that message at first.

here are the other two addresses, these worked fine:

no I did not remove the wallet data. because I am not sure if that will not also remove the generated address (the one that is not receiving). so before I do that I would want to hear from official support directly.
Ok, I cannot try it out currently, since wallet restoration takes a lot for now, but, afaik, it should not remove your receiving addresses if there was any blockchain-activity for them, and you have two transactions on it.
Basically, how HD wallets work:
So, based on this information, I may assume that none of your addresses should be âlostâ after restoration if it was actually used - and your addresses were used (doesnât matter that Daedalus doesnât show the transactions - the explorer is what matters).
Full reinstall of the Daedalus is the best option, since you have said that you deleted some folders, but didnât perform full reinstall - that actually could leave the Daedalus in corrupted state.
To fully delete the Daedalus, you need to remove these two folders (your screenshots are from Mac if Iâm not mistaken):
/Application/Daedalus.app
~/Library/Application Support/Daedalus
The second one will take especially long to remove, cuz it contains the whole blockchain. And then you need to reinstall the latest version from scratch. And then re-download the blockchain and restore your wallet (store those 12 words!).
P.S. If you still donât trust the logic you can try to wait until the evening when I will be able to actually experimentally show that used addresses are not removed on restoration.
thank you for your detailed reply!
thank you for your offer to experiment, and yes, I am still a bit unsure because my address is not shown as used, so it might just disappear ?
I will wait for your results (can you also try to generate a new address, donât use it and then see if it is still there after the reinstall?), or maybe someone from the IOHK wants to chime in!
Thatâs an exchangeâs wallet address.
Now, I got it. It seems that Daedalus does not recognise your DdzâŚWadzJ address and therefore does not sum up all the three addresses balance, but only the 899ADA and the 4ADA ones, and not the 584.056000.
Thatâs very scary to me.
Itâs not necessary, as his Daedalus, show all HD addresses, which one generated from the root.
What scares me, that something is not right with the Daedalus implementation as it recognises all 3 addresses, but just sums up only two of them. It can be related that his Daedalus has different knowledge of the separated Wallet checkpoint database (Wallet-1.0) and the blockchains (DB-1.0) database, would say inconsistency of the Wallet one as blockchain seems to me right.
I would backup the ~/Library/Application Support/Daedalus , then remove it completely (stop Daedaluse abd mv ~/Library/Application\ Support/Daedalus{,.orig} would do), and reinstall Daedalus.
If you have another machine you can try restoring using 12 word recovery phrase without deleting anything from current installation.
As I understand, he messed up with some DB files and folders, without full reinstall. So easily might be a problem with some local caches
It doesnât matter, what Daedalus shows - itâs just a locally cached client. The Explorer is what matters, and it shows your transactions.
But ok, I will make the experiment later, and try to make a video of it
+1
thanks, I will try this later.
thanks!
+1, for the non-experienced users.
This!
So I guess he coult try to uninstall or restore the wallet on a new install on some other PC
he did mention deleting the DB 1.0 - i did it a lot of times in the past - and each time it synced from 0 without any issues
Of course, as his wallet db (Wallet-1.0) is not consistent w/ the blockchain data (DB-1.0). I think he needs a full restore, means delete (after backup only), everything and not just the DB-1.0, as blockchain is consistent, but his wallet is not as it can see all the three addresses, but some part of Daedalus think one of them does not belong to the same root keys as it just sums up two of them.
DB-1.0 is split into different RosckDB databases (blocks/index, lrc (Leaders, Richmen, Common, Issuers and epoch seeds), gState (global state) and misc). It does not contains any reference to the Daedalus wallet, the Wallet-1.0 does.
Wallet DB as it names sugggests contains the Daedalusâ Wallet details.
Just run strings -a ~/LibâŚ/Wallet-1.0/checkpoints-00000000XX.log and you will see.
Those checkpoints also contains the wallet sync information. Means, synced or not /w blockchain and till whihc block (slot).
All right, I deleted the App and the entire Daedalus folder, reinstalled and restored the wallet from the key phrase. That did the trick and I now see all transactions in my wallet !
thanks to all of you for your support!!
Gr8t thx. I expected this and would be very suprised, would say really scared, if that would not do the trick.
Dear Deadalus support, I am still waiting proper help for my 0 balance problem. I have contacted to Jeremy month ago but no reply since. After restoring my wallet to new HD it shows 0 balance but when I check wallet address in https://cardanoexplorer.com/ website it shows correct balance. Now I am stacked and cannot use my ADA anymore because when I try to send some ADA it says 0 balance. I have deleted DB and did restoring several times but still the same problem. please help.
I think you should try to re-install the wallet ⌠If you can see your ada on the cardanoexplorer - you shouldnt be worried
but how many times I have to do this wallet reinstalling?? I am not worried but I cannot transfer or use my ADA anymoreâŚ
