Ambassador Journal - Thomas Lindseth - January 2024

Hello everyone,

January marked the beginning of the new year with a bang, filled with exciting ventures and meaningful contributions to the Cardano community.

The year kicked off by actively shaping the partnership between SoundRig and I CAN South Sudan, alongside the always wonderful @bearicea . This collaboration aims to empower undiscovered musical talents in South Sudan and Uganda, ensuring they receive a significant share of the opportunities. I dedicated a post to this partnership, and we also hosted an X space dedicated to the announcement. You can listen to the recording Here

Having some fun and making new frens in the more degen side of Cardano, I’ve been engaged with the Fren community. Despite some drama surrounding certain individuals, we have, together with core team members been quietly building Frens4Good, a charity fund funded by the community. Proposals for charitable initiatives will be made and voted on by the community. More details will be shared once we are fully operational. You can listen to the Fren community spaces that I co-hosted here:

Now, for the highlight of the month – alongside @Eystein_Hansen , I hosted the first of five workshops around the world on DRep Code of Conduct and Ethical Guidelines. The journey has been incredible, and I’ve had the privilege of meeting amazing individuals along the way. The workshop was a great success, and you can read our recap here.
You can also watch the entire workshop, as well as presentations by @benohanlon and @Michael_Madoff in this playlist (Sorry about the poor video quality. We had some technical issues with the camera)
Additionally, there’s a picture and a brief recap of the meetup we had later that evening.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to share that I’ve signed up for Cardano Buidler Fest 2024 in April. This presents a fantastic opportunity to deepen my understanding of the technical side of Cardano.

As January comes to a close, I’m truly grateful for each and every connections made. The people of Cardano are among the most caring, selfless and giving people I have ever met, and I am so proud to be part of this amazing community!

Here’s to a year filled with growth, innovation, and continued collaboration. And to Voltaire!

Wishing you all the best,

Thomas
