The Cardano Foundation’s new Head of Human Resources says hello from Switzerland
Hi Cardano community,
My name is Lisa Garrelts, and I am delighted to join the Cardano Foundation as Head of Human Resources! From my base in Zürich, Switzerland, I will oversee the Cardano Foundation’s full employee lifecycle, working closely with my HR colleague and Cardano Foundation veteran, Juliette Adelfang.
I bring my experience of holistic human resources to the Foundation, a HR discipline that focuses on the individual and their needs within the organization. By supporting our current and future team members, I believe we can help unlock our team’s full potential, and empower them to become catalysts for change within the wider Cardano ecosystem.
Together with the other members of the Cardano Foundation’s operations team, I will design our HR strategy and grow both Cardano’s people and culture. I will also look for opportunities to maximize the talent we have within our community when exploring candidates for our open roles.
My decision to work with the Cardano Foundation was influenced by Cardano’s position in the wider blockchain industry. I saw that some of the best minds in blockchain were coalescing within the Cardano ecosystem, building one of the strongest decentralized communities and blockchains in the world. I decided it would be a great journey to be part of.
In my spare time, I love going off the beaten track on trails with my rescue dog, Montgomery, a Bulgarian street dog. I also enjoy cultivating cacti, a pastime that requires patience and skill to master, especially with the cold Swiss winters!
I am looking forward to getting to know the wider Cardano community, and thank you to those who have welcomed me so far.
