Continued Recommendations:

  • CIP-1694? | A proposal for entering the Voltaire phase
    • This proposes a revision of Cardano’s on-chain governance system to support the new requirements for Voltaire.
    • This is a very important CIP has had tonnes of recent engagement from the community and it to see further refinement in the coming weeks.
  • CIP-85? | Sums-of-products in Plutus Core:
    • This CIP proposes to add native support for datatypes to Plutus Core, and to use that support to implement more efficient interchange of the script context between the ledger and scripts.
    • Lots of new engagement and discussion.

    • This CIP proposes replacing the current native scripts used for minting Cardano Native Tokens with simple smart contracts.
  • CPS-??? | Voltaire era Governance [New Problem]:
    • This CPS tried to frame a set of motivations, goals, constraints, and open questions for the very broad topic of Cardano governance.
    • This is to accompany CIP-1694 to allow for discussion of the problem of governance rather than the technical solution.

    • This CPS tried to frame a set of motivations, goals, constraints, and open questions for the very broad topic of Cardano governance.
    • This is to accompany CIP-1694 to allow for discussion of the problem of governance rather than the technical solution.
  • CIP-0045? | Decentralized WebRTC dApp-Wallet Communication:
    • This proposal describes a decentralized communication method between dApps and wallets based on WebTorrent trackers and WebRTC.
    • This has seen some decent engagement and is an interesting idea.

  • CIP-0078? | Extended Local Chain Sync Protocol
    • This proposal aims to relive the frustrations of of polling ledger state data from a Cardano node by extending the Local chain state (mini protocol) to included Ledger state data.
    • This is interesting and may become a more relevant proposal for the Conway ledger era.
  • CIP-56 | Treasury donations
    • This CIP intends to diversity the treasury holdings and increase protocol revenue to the treasury by allowing Catalyst-funded private ventures to both diversity and increase Cardano’s treasury balance.
    • Quite an interesting proposal.
  • CIP-0046? | Merkelised Plutus Scripts:
    • This proposal suggests changing how scripts are hashed, from hash of it’s serialisation to a hash of it’s immediate children’s hashes, forming a Merkle Tree from the AST.
    • This interesting proposal!

    • This proposal defines an extension to CIP-0013 along with additional processes to support Token Claims over QR codes.
    • This is an interesting proposal!
  • CIP-1694 Update | A few smaller changes [Proposal Update]:
    • This proposed update to CIP-1694:
      • Governance actions to be enacted one epoch after ratification.
      • Remove the dropping of governance actions, instead just delay.
      • Make DRep registration not required.
  • CIP-1694 update | Introduce governance action fee instead of deposit [Proposal Update]:
    • This proposed update to CIP-1694:
      • Replace governance action deposits for a fee paid to treasury
      • With Governance action submitters able to optionally attach more Ada than the fee requires, such surplus Ada is then paid out to DReps which vote on the proposal.
