Here are a couple of threads on the zero balance issue:

Restored my Daedalus wallet - synced 100% = balance zero

So after I first installed the Daedalus wallet I transfered ADA into from Bittrex, the transaction was successfull and the ADA was in my wallet. But after that first time I used the wallet It stopped working. It stopped on ‘syncing blocks’ or ‘connection to network’. Missin ADA after restoring the wallet

Hi. I recently bought ADA at the bittrex exchange and decided that I would send my ADA to a Daedalus wallet I open a few months ago , I made a small transfer to my wallet to make sure that it would get to its destination. so far so good , so I ended sending the rest of my ADA and as soon as made the transfer I realize I should have check getting my ADA out of the wallet and of course I was not able to get it out of my wallet , for some reason it would not except the password .
